591  Re: Sweat Shoppe Round 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MareMare on: August 06, 2007 09:58:32 PM
I received 2 packages today!

~My Christmas pillow from SewingLori. It's so cute! Much tinier than I thought, it will look great when the house is decorated for Christmas...if only I can figure out a way to keep my nephews from running off with it after I hang it on a door knob

~A cosmetic bag from safetypin. I love it! It's a great size and I love the palm tree material! The inside is lined in some really fun nautical material!

Thanks guys!

PS~Hopefully I am receiving a new digital camera for my birthday thursday, then I can have non-burry pics! YAY!

592  Re: Secret Craftster swap (Round 3) Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by MareMare on: August 01, 2007 12:22:36 PM
I really needed a pick me up today, and I got one! My secret crafster sent me some super cute swirly coasters (I love the colors and the swirls!) and a box to keep crafty stuff in (my organizational problems are legendary!) Unfortunately, the box got a little broken during shipping, but I'm sure I could repair it if someone could tell me how! I've never worked with these little beads before. Also she sent some really cute little figurines for my nephews, they will look so cute on the shelf in their bedroom! Thanks so much secret crafster!

I received from dragonslair today! It is soooo cute, much better looking than my poor camera can show, the detail of the stitches doesn't show since it came out kinda blurry, but it's great!  Thanks dragonslair! I'm having my sister in law paint me a cute frame so I can put it up in my room ASAP!

I also received from Nikkidear today! I do a lot of crocheting and had NO stitch markers, so I'm really excited to use these, and to keep track of them in the clever little pouch!

Thanks so much Nikkidear!

596  Re: Fill A Purse Swap 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MareMare on: July 08, 2007 04:50:48 PM
I had to post more pics of the journal that razberryjam sent me. I found out she did make it! I kind of wondered if she made it, but it was so professionally done I figured she bought it! She used a cool map-looking paper on the cover and turquoise (my fave color) binding (I don't know if that's the right word). The inside paper is light orange and unlined. The whole thing is around the size of a paperback book. Thanks so much, I love it! I am obsessed with making lists, so this will either become a list making book or maybe a swap journal!

I received from Razberryjam today!

She sent me an adorable polka dot purse (I'm on a polka dot kick) and she actually handsewed it since her machine died! It looks great! It's lined in reverse polka dots and the bottom panel is the same as the lining. It's the perfect size for my crochet hook case and a ball of cotton yarn for when I want to take a small project somewhere!

Here's a pic with the purse and the other stuff: a really cool journal (I'm not sure if razberryjam made it or not, but it is neat!) a chocolate bar (it only lasted long enough to take the pic, yum!) a cute card, a coin purse, and a toothpick holder which is going to become my crochet plastic needle holder!

Thanks so much razberryjam, everything is great!

599  Harry Potter + Fabio + Vikings, Whoo-hoo! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MareMare on: July 05, 2007 07:33:21 PM
I got this great tutorial from here:
The only real change I made it in is that I substituted sew-in velcro for the snaps, it works really well, and I was having trouble with my darn snap setter thing. I also strayed from using novel covers in the harry potter one, I had bought a book of mini movie poster books for this project for a HP crazed friend. They worked pretty well, I also put one on the inside! And in the Fabio book, it came with a poster too, so I put that inside. Double Fabio!

600  Soap/Lotion Bar Sets for BF's mom IMAGE HEAVY in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by MareMare on: June 08, 2007 11:39:04 PM
These are some sets for my boyfriend's mom, she ordered 12 of them for presents for her co-workers. They are all honey 'n oats soap (unfragranced, but smells sooo good fromt the honey), but wrapped with different colors of paper and ribbon. I usually use mulberry paper, but I didn't have the right colors for what ribbon I had on hand, so I used scrapbooking paper. There are 3 different scents of lotion bars, thusly the different colored soap wrapping. Sorry the pics are glare-y, I stink at taking pictures!

All 3 sets:

Green w Mango Lotion Bar:

Yellow/White w Grapefruit Lotion Bar:

Purple w Black Raspberry Vanilla Lotion Bar:

In White Organza Bags (I wish I had gotten 1 size larger of the bags!):
