941  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: I made myself a summer dress. Simplicity 3823 on: June 02, 2007 09:46:03 AM
What a darling dress! The fabric is so cheerful!

How was the pattern to make? I just got some fabric that would look lovely as that dress but it would be my first attempt at a dress.

Those look great! I tried this with an old 45 but it didn't turn out so well.

K-ritter, great idea to use epoxy! I never would have thought of that! Can I just pick it up at any home improvement store?

945  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: treasure trolls! yesss! on: May 30, 2007 08:05:59 PM

946  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / How to do reversible??? on: May 30, 2007 05:16:36 PM
I'm trying to make my mom a reversible face mitt. I found one at the local Fred Meyers but I can't quite work out how to make it myself. The mitt is basically the top half of a mitten (everything above the thumb). I know i'll need four pieces but i'm lost on how to put them all together. If anyone could explain this or point me to a site that does, I'd really appreciate it!!
947  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Melt and Pour Cupcake Soaps and More! on: May 29, 2007 07:10:24 PM
I so "hate" you for making me want to start making soaps!

OMG I love those! I will forever be in your debt for giving me an actual reason to go to Ikea! My fiance hates that I love to go just to wander around and look at every single thing. Making them in chocolate would make perfect wedding favors! Anybody happen to know how long I could freeze them ahead of time?
949  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitworks mystery blanket on: May 29, 2007 02:18:35 PM
I got a really lovely pink cotton baby blanket today at the thrift store ( exactly the one i would make if i only had the patience!) There is a label glue to one corner , Knitworks with "knitting ...just like grandma's" as the slogan. I googled it to see what else this company has but i can't find any information. Has anyone heard of this brand? It looks like it could be handmade with one of those premade labels attatched for washing instructions but i've never seen one with spanish as well as english. I'd really appreciate any information!

950  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: You know you're a craftster when... (part TWO!) on: May 28, 2007 04:08:44 PM
.... you spend the afternoon reading this board instead of being out in the sun you've been waiting for all winter/spring (i'm in the seattle area...actual sunlight is a bit rare)

... crafting/ reading craftster is a better cure for a headache than extra strength excedrin

... your disappointed with your craftster stats...i could have sworn i'm on here more than 10 hours this month!

...you spend more time crafting/ on craftster than talking to your finance ( this isn't hard right now as he's in iraq and pretty unavailible but i suspect it wont change a whole lot when he comes home)
