41  Felt Kingdom Hearts Wristband in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by TheBrokenButterfly on: February 12, 2011 08:58:26 AM
This is a wristband I made out of felt. It has snap closures on it.

Action shot.

Here is it when it's open and you can see the snap closures.

All of my nerdy friends really liked this, haha.

42  Knitted DNA Strand in Knitting: Completed Projects by TheBrokenButterfly on: February 12, 2011 08:44:31 AM

This is the second thing I ever knitted and it is made completely of i-cords and sewn together. My mom said it's the epitome of nerd crafting, and I am proud of this Grin

It's really easy to make, but if I were to make another ones, I'd make the ones closer to the twist shorter because they tend to bend when I twist it.

43  Japanese-ish Print/Candy Corn Messenger Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by TheBrokenButterfly on: July 25, 2009 12:59:23 PM
I've had this material for a couple of years now and finally got around to using it. I made my own pattern. This is my first bag and I am quite happy with how it turned out. Oh, and during this project I found out why people use a towel under stuff when they iron on the floor. Carpet melts. This not only burns the carpet but also makes your iron and fabric sticky -_-

Action Shot.

I put a pocket on the front that is the perfect size for pencils and markers and other small things.

Open. Candy corn lining =D

The inside during usage.

I added a pocket on the inside.

And just a general picture of the inside.

Both pockets are hand sewed on but the rest is machine sewed.

45  Frankenstein and Dudley the Octopus [Sort of pic heavy?] in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by TheBrokenButterfly on: June 25, 2008 02:12:15 AM
I'm not sure what does or does not qualify as picture heavy, so yeah...

Both of these are completely hand sewn.

Frankenstein's front:

Frankenstein's back:

Frankenstein's size compared to a spool of thread:

Dudley the Octopus's front:

Dudley the Octopus's back:

Dudley the Octopus's bottom:

Dudley the Octopus's eyes are hot glued on. And he is only about 3/4 an inch shorter than Franenstein.

I made Frankenstein for my friend but I just finished it and haven't given it to her yet. I hope you like them.

46  Orange Felt iPod Cozy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by TheBrokenButterfly on: April 25, 2008 10:39:01 AM
Well pretty much I've been wanting an iPod case since I got my iPod, which was in seventhe grade. Now, I'm in ninth grade and I've finally made myself one. I just used orange felt and some colorful yarn to sew it together. The button is a turtle, my favorite animal. These pictures don't do the orange of the felt justice, unfortunately.

47  First Time Stenciling; Donnie Darko in Stenciling: Completed Projects by TheBrokenButterfly on: April 23, 2008 02:04:21 PM
This is my first time stenciling. I actually used manila file folders because they didn't have any freezer paper at Wal-Mart. You can see a few spots on Frank where it bled through and I attempted to cover it up with sharpie.

I got the Cellar Door stencil from https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=199723.0

I got the Frank stencil from Stencilry.org

48  Felt Mermaid in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by TheBrokenButterfly on: December 10, 2007 03:13:58 PM
Here's a felt mermaid I hand sewed. It didn't take very long, I did it in one day. The arms are kind of funky but my momloved it anyway when I gave it to her. I only have one picture but there's nothing special on the back. I made my own pattern.
