271  My new fall bag!!! I LOVE this fabric! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Kimmermonroe on: November 20, 2007 05:01:19 AM
I saw this fabric and fell in love instantly. I knew right away this would be my new fall bag. After much mind boggling debate on what style to make the bag I came up with this.

I also got a little carried away with the accessories.

272  My cute DD's costume, maybe not that cute... in Halloween Costumes by Kimmermonroe on: October 31, 2007 05:52:02 PM
My DD wanted to be something original and creepy this year so we came up with this.
The shirt was mine, I altered it.
The skirt hers, I put a skull over where there was a flower.
Necklaces were mine that I made from polymer clay and hematite.
"Dolly Dearest" I made for the costume
I made her candy bag + fingerless gloves. A girl's gotta coordinate!
Red wig, makeup and my old combat boots finished it off.
We LOVED it. Here she is posing. She's in character.
Here's the link to the doll for a better look.

That's my girl!!!

274  We call her "Dolly Dearest" in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kimmermonroe on: October 30, 2007 10:13:51 AM
This started out with my 9yr old DD wanting to be something creepy scary this year for Haloween. We decided that she would be a creepy little girl. Like the one in Death JR., FEAR, The Ring,...you get the picture. So after reconstructing a costume for her I thought it would be creepy for her to have a creepy doll to sorta drag behind her. That's when "Dolly Dearest" was born. My DD even worked out a creepy way to answer when people ask about the doll.
She was a blast to make except for the clothes. I hated that part!!!
Here she is "DOLLY DEAREST"

275  MARVELouse Night Stand (Pic Obese) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kimmermonroe on: October 27, 2007 07:25:13 AM
My 12yr old has a real fascination for the comic book world. I bought him both the big encyclopedia's, DC and Marvel. I swear he has them memorized.
Anyway I decided to surprise him with a revamped nightstand. Doubled and damaged comicbooks + Mod Podge = 1 happy 12 yr old.

276  My new PSP case!!! Pic heavy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kimmermonroe on: October 24, 2007 10:12:37 AM
I LOVE my PSP I take it with me just about everywhere but the case was a little generic for me. So I cut off the netting and decopaged it. It consists of a few coats of Mod Podge, a polymer clay charm, some bedazzler beads, dollar store tissue paper, a gargoyle printed out from internet, and some silk cording to hide the paper edges.

277  Blue Dragon Scale Lightswitch in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Kimmermonroe on: October 20, 2007 07:18:27 AM
We just moved into our first house and the previous owners had a ton of really tacky lightswitch covers all over the house. The 1st one to go was my son's. He LOVES dragons, but then who doesn't, so I made him this blue dragon cover. It's polymer clay with a metallic blue paint.
I am possibly thinking of making more to sell. I've never sold any craft items on the internet and I'm a little nervous.
What do you think?
As you can see we need to repaint his room.

278  Pack-Rat night-light in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kimmermonroe on: October 13, 2007 06:05:35 PM
We just moved and when I was going through the boxes I found my DH old helmet. When I asked the all mighty question of
"What are we are going to do with this?'' (He hasn't ridden a bike in 7 yrs) he says we are to save it for our son.
So I found some cardboard, fabric to hide the cardboard, and an old nightlight and came up with this.
I keep the vents open and the shield open a little to vent the heat.
I tried to take a picture of it when the room was dark but my camera wouldn't let me. Damn technology!

279  Fifi the bunny in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kimmermonroe on: September 21, 2007 04:03:01 AM
Ok, this website got me inspired to make a doll. I had envisioned something just the opposite of this. I had in my head a punk rabbit. You know wonky eyes, big arms, and screwy teeth. After I drew the pattern out on felt, freehand. I was at first impressed that it actually worked! She took a life of her own. Too sweet for punk. Then I had to go and make her cutesy clothes and a ribbon.
But I love her anyway.

280  Cute little skully keychain in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Kimmermonroe on: September 21, 2007 03:54:38 AM
I got this idea from another crafter here's post. But for the life of my I can't find it, sorry.
Anyway here is my felt skull key chain. It's simple but I love it. If you can't tell what that purple blob is down at the bottom it's a embroidered flower.
