12  Key hooks out of reclaimed wood.... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kimmermonroe on: August 03, 2012 04:04:16 PM
So I decided I was going to join the Storage Unit Mogals and start buying units.....I bought one 8 X 10 foor unit filled and I mean filled with reclaimed wood and other stuff. This man would go into the old houses and strip what he could, including the hardware. The wood from both of these came from the unit, the hooks are new. The doorknob and and backplate came from there too..... I have sooooooo much stuff to make! I love it!

13  Record Cuff.....and more with Video Tutorial Link in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kimmermonroe on: August 03, 2012 03:55:59 PM
I tried making record bracelets a couple of different ways....this is my favorite.
The best part is, is it's a blank canvas as well. You don't like it plain? Add to it! Drill a hole in it, add charms. Paint it. Glitterfy it. You name it!

15  Tote bags + Chalkboard paint= Muahahaha in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Kimmermonroe on: May 24, 2012 06:33:43 PM
How this idea came to me? I have no freaking clue. Chalkboard paint is AWESOME!
These started out as plain totes with a little acrylic paint, chalkboard paint, a new liner. I upgraded it!
Why the cuteness? I have a thing about cute animals and such saying mean and vulgar things... Well this way I can change what they say or think with every mood. Thats why I added a pocket to keep the chalk in.
These are a few I made... The rest(I made way too many) are on my blog.

16  Hair Flowers, Rings, and a Ring Display in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Kimmermonroe on: May 24, 2012 06:16:07 PM
Flowers first:
So I decided to use some of my scrap materials I've accumulated and make some hair flowers. Some on headbands some on cute(You can't see them anyway) heart clips. I burned the edges of the leather flowers so they would curl up.

Now the rings....  I found these for $1 a package at Walmart. Unfortunately it was the last package Sad
Since they were puzzle eraser rings I took them apart and glued them together then attached them to the ring blank....then I found all the pieces I missed and re-glued them too! Puzzles and I don't get along...
The display is a vintage lingerie organizer. I was going to sew little pillows to stuff in there, but I've got a ton of things to get done before the Make Fair next month. SO I took a toilet paper rolls wrapped them in fabric and they fit like a dream. I'm going to put a different fabric over the rolls now that I know it works.

So I have another post earlier about my daughter getting her brother's T's turned into tube tops... Well I saw this shirt on my husbands "donation" pile earlier today so I snagged it for her.
This was an experiment. so there is no tut..... But I might do one....

The before shirt... I had to search the net to find it. I forgot to take a before pic.

18  Guy's Tshirt to Gal's Tube Top with video tut in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kimmermonroe on: April 22, 2012 11:27:11 AM
I've got two teenagers a son who is 16 and a daughter who is 14.... Hand me downs are not an option, atleast not at these ages. With summer coming up my son gives me his shirts that he's tired of or doesn't fit and I make her tube tops. I also scour the Thrifts for neat men's shirts or larger women's shirts to do this with. It's so simple, take a look at the video to see how fast and easy you they are to make. There are other versions of the Tube's on my blog.
The Video Tutorial:

This one was too small to make into a tube top but I couldn't resist making it into something so I made it into a halter:
