1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Earrings on: February 11, 2009 09:01:10 AM
Here's an earring I made. There is another one to go with it, but I thought I'd get a close up shot.

Thanks for looking!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Duct tape creations on: February 11, 2009 08:50:14 AM
I've been having lots of fun with duct tape, so here are two of my creations:

The ubiquitous duct tape wallet:

And a business card holder made with biker-Elvis-pig fabric covered with clear duct tape.

Thanks for looking!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Okay, it's not a craft blog, but it is craft related on: September 03, 2008 10:48:28 PM

A funny crafty graphic on The Onion. I think we crafters have finally arrived! Smiley
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Poppet! on: July 23, 2008 04:42:05 PM
Her name is Mimi. The hardest part was her hair--can someone point me toward some more in-depth tutes on how to do the hair? I still love her and I'm going to make more. I started her last week while watching the premiere of Project Runway, so maybe it's fitting to start another one tonight during the new show.

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Reusable sandwich bags on: December 05, 2007 09:51:40 AM
I saw this website for this cool, ecologically friendly product: http://www.wrap-n-mat.com

and I thought those things have to be about the easiest thing to make. But what would you use for the wipe-able liner? Is there a type of fabric out there that would work for holding food?
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Purse with a super-long handle on: November 20, 2007 12:40:23 PM
Here's a purse I did with really long handles and my first zipper. I had a lot of trouble with the zipper and it still got a bit messed up, but I'm anxious to try it again.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Old-fashioned dress on: April 24, 2007 11:37:03 AM
I've had this old-timey black velvety dress with lace collar for years and it looks like a tent on me, so I never wear it. I like the old-fashioned feel to it, but I don't know what to do with it. Change it into a costume? Any thoughts? If I do make a costume with it,  who would I go as? What time era is it even reminiscent of? Or can I change it around and make it into something else I can wear as "regular" clothes? Sorry I'm so clueless about it--I'm just drawing a total blank and really need some brainstorming ideas. THANKS!!!

Here's a link to a picture of the dress: http://www.flickr.com/photos/elliemom1/
