11  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / My version of the Monster Wreath! on: January 28, 2008 10:03:05 AM
I made this monster wreath like two years ago and found these photos as I was looking through my computer files.

I know these have been made by a lot of people in many variations... but I haven't seen one with a bow yet!

What do you think?
12  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / duckies on: January 28, 2008 09:54:43 AM
I made this quilt for my baby niece.  It's my very first quilt, and I am happy with the results.

Hope you enjoy it as well.

I am trying to get more photos from my sis to post, but my she's taking a while since she's got a new baby...

14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / A Killer time making a Dress Form on: January 07, 2008 11:10:29 AM
My husband and I made a dress form from a tutorial I found off of Google... I can't find the link now, but I'll post it later if I can find it.

Here are photos:

The form is made of paper packaging tape, duct tape and I paper mached it to make it stronger.  My husband made the PVC pipe stand, and taped me up (which he really enjoyed and took advantage of).  This project started out fun, but once I was taped up, couldn't breath (b/c I couldn't expand my diaphragm) and had been standing still for an hour I wanted to kill someone.  My husband got me screaming at him for taking breaks and not hurrying up.  I wanted the damn thing cut off of me!!!

Unfortunately, after I finished with the paper mache I checked the sizing and realized it was 5" bigger than I am.  I had to cut it down the back and resize it.  It is still one inch too big, but ok with that.

FYI: If you've got a back injury I would advise you to pop a few Vicodin before starting this project...haha Grin
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Nursery Mural~ Help on: July 23, 2007 10:01:28 AM
I'm working on a mural for my sister's first baby's nursery.  Here are some photos...

(FYI: none of the shading is done so it looks elementary...)

I am using acrylics and I need to know if I should put some kind of sealant on it.  If so, what should I use and how should I apply it?

Also, do you guys have any ideas for decorating a fairy themed baby nursery?

18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / rhinestones on: May 16, 2007 09:10:41 AM
I saw a bathing suit in a Victoria's Secret catalog which has a rhinestone scull on it.  Since I already have a bathing suit, and I don't want to pay $50 for a bathing suit, I want to put a rhinestone scull on my bathing suit.  Which adhesive should I use? or what other suggestions do you guys have?
19  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Can you help? on: April 17, 2007 03:46:35 PM
I want to make a baby towel with a little hood, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a pattern.  Any ideas or suggestions?

(very first post on crafster... hope I did this right)  Huh
