2  Re: *~Ipod Cozy Swap ~*Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by honeyfresh on: November 13, 2007 05:22:24 PM
My partner, MissNoemi, let me know that she recieved today and asked me to post pictures... so here's the cozy I sent for Linus!

I went with her pink and yellow colour combo... except I decided to use gold instead of yellow Wink

FRONT! The button isn't functional... There's a snap underneath the strap. I figure it's hard to undo and do up a button wearing mitts, so I went with a snap closure.

Not the best picture, but you can see the closure as well as the gold lining! There's think interfacing between the layers so that it's more comfy for Linus in there.

3  Whodunit? in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by honeyfresh on: November 13, 2007 02:39:08 PM
I made these works for the Ontario College of Art and Design's annual Whodunit art show and sale... last year! I can't post this years work because that would ruin the secret!
This year's show is coming up, so if you're from Toronto I suggest you check it out!

4  my 2nd tattoo in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by honeyfresh on: October 18, 2007 08:47:36 PM

I got this a couple months after my boyfriend died, last year. He was completely my anchor in life, hence the blatent symbolism. Plus, our corny couple-y song was "The Mast" by Feist.

The line work is just a personal preference. Some of the lines are a bit bumpy though; His sister came with me and told me hilarious Nick stories as the artist worked away.

This was about a week after it was done, so it's still a little crusty. I've never gotten around to taking another picture of it though. It's about the size of a pack of gum, on my ribs, beside my left boob!

5  pigeon painting! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by honeyfresh on: April 18, 2007 01:01:21 PM
I divided my canvas up into eight parts and experimented with different techniques in each section, using different textures and mediums (gloss or matte, gel or liquid, all that stuff)

The pigeons were kind of an after thought... but I love pigeons, so it works. Thoughts?

6  Re: fabric picture/art? in More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions by honeyfresh on: April 18, 2007 12:58:30 PM
I've done a work with fabric scraps. I sewed my image with the bits onto larger canvas, added some embroidery, and then stretched it afterwards. It came out like this!
