The box is great, but the scarf rocks. I wore it to work today and everyone keeps saying "It matches your glasses".

Here are the boxes I sent my partner. She already received them:

I scored a stack of these at a thrift store the other day. Here are a few pics from the Feb. 69 issue:

24  Re: Barbie Body Modification Swap!! (Sign up CLOSED Send by 5/1/05) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by poppet on: March 30, 2005 08:11:39 AM
This is so disturbing...maybe it can inspire (or mortify) you. I'm not in this swap, but I thought of you lovely ladies when I read about thsi on boingboing.net: http://www.beinart.com.au/page/page/544347.htm

Check out the link for more dolls...ugh.

25  Re: retro stained glass light: MORE PICS in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by poppet on: December 23, 2004 09:05:03 AM
Here are more pictures of the lamp. The base is a small piece of wood with a groove for the lamp to fit into, and a hole cut for the light. Under the piece of wood is a little groove that the light cord fits into so that it's flush with the table top surface.

Also, the key to making a piece like this is to solder copper wire along all the glass connections (on top of the copper tape/foil) to make the piece sturdy. The top star-like piece is held onto the blue kidney-shape with just a big dollop of solder. If you have other questions about it, just let me know.

26  LP cover clock -- It's Polka Time in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by poppet on: December 23, 2004 07:21:38 AM
I made this last night for the blank wall in my office. I think it brightens the place up a wee bit.  Kiss

27  2 stained glass windows in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by poppet on: December 22, 2004 08:57:02 AM
I posted yesterday about the killer lamp my friend made me. Here are the windows she made our other two friends. Unbelievable. She's the stained glass goddess. The photos don't do them justice, of course.

28  Sublime Stitching pattern charms -- shrinky dink style in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by poppet on: December 22, 2004 07:26:32 AM
I traced a couple of my Jenny Hart patterns last night on shrinky dink plastic. The swallow is for my yoga instructor. The warped skull is for me.  Roll Eyes

I didn't make this -- I got it as a gift from a friend/co-worker today but had to share it. I'm so freakin excited. She made me a light that matches my tattoo. She actually designed my tattoo (see avatar) for me last spring. Anyway, I'm freaking out excited and told her I was going to show off her handiwork here. I put a standard-sized paperclip in the photo to show the size of the lamp.

30  2 new yoga mat bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by poppet on: December 20, 2004 09:03:14 AM
I made these for my co-workers for xmas. We take yoga together a few times a week. I loosely followed a tutorial posted here http://www.figandplum.com/archives/000016.html  (found on craftster here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=1568.0).

I added about an inch to the width and length so the mat slips in easily, and I didn't put the drawstring in (mostly because I procrastinated). I also added a lining to reinforce the bag. The bottom I did like the original Jordy purse, rather than fussing with a circular bottom (again, procrastination is the mother of invention). The straps are a heavy velvet-like fabric.
