1  Re: May 2008 Birthday Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by steen on: June 02, 2008 09:54:15 AM
I received last week from phoenixfiredesigns! She spoiled me!

This is what my package looked like when it arrived Smiley Lots of little hand drawn pictures all over the paper.

Then there were three lip glosses (im addicted to lip chap/lip gloss) A pair of earrings and a bracelet (both with stars in them) these were inside a beaaautful star box that she hand painted. The first thing I did when I saw the bracelet was slip it on my wrist!

This is the awesomest box ever! thanks so much. I loove how it turned out!

She also sent me a whole bunch of different teas. (I tried the african tundra one this past weekend and your right it is the best!)

and lastly she sent me some apple blossom scented foot scrub, shower gel and a candle!

Thanks so much! I love everything! I hope you like what I sent you! Smiley

2  witch and a witch blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by steen on: January 20, 2008 03:33:06 PM
In my family we have nicknames for each other. My sisters is the witch. So for her birthday I decided to make her a few things witchy Smiley The first one was actually going to be for christmas. I started working on it in Nov but my siblings and I decided to draw names instead. Thats why she's all red and has fluffy white yarn on her had and dress. But it worked out alright because her b-day is a few days into January. I think she turned out so cute! I used a pattern that I found randomly on the net somewhere. I forget the exact website but the pattern was called Scara lee, or something along those lines.

The second part to her gift was this witch blanket I crochet for her. I still think I need to make the black border bigger? Any one have thoughts on that? I intended it to be just a blanket you might throw on when your watching tv on the couch etc. I dont know. It seems more longish then it is wide. Im happy how it turned out though.

I hope she likes them!

3  adult costume : rag doll in Halloween Costumes by steen on: November 02, 2007 10:09:50 PM
I originally posted this on the halloween board which is here:

I had a hard time coming up with something I could do for halloween in a week. I had to work on halloween night and didnt know that people were going to be dressing up. I went through tons of ideas and finally settled on being a rag doll. I was aiming at raggity anne but couldnt find anything suitable to wear / make for her. So instead I went with a dark rag doll.

I made everything in my costume sans the tights shoes and t-shirt.
The wig was an interesting experience. Never made one before and crazy to loop all those long strands around the base. I made the wig following this lion brand pattern : http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60386.html?noImages=

I made the tutu following this pattern here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ambrosialove/522118984/

all I can say is tutu's are fun and I bought wayyy more tule that I needed! The skirt and apron I just winged with no pattern but it worked out well. Smiley

now for the pics, sorry they are dark!:
