Happy belated birthday, RaraAvis!

LOL I love that the roto-rooter guy is so calm about a LV pic. Cheesy

Here's Clara in front of the lone remaining poppy and some iris.  There were several of these when me moved here and I just loved them.  One day I came home from work, and my husband proudly told me he had gotten rid of the fuzzy dandelions.  Yep, my poppies.  That was the last time he did any volunteer gardening.  I couldn't really even be mad because he felt so bad about it.
D'oh! Your poor flowers! Aw...sometimes husbands can be as "helpful" as cats. (as in, not at all but they try with all their might! Grin )

Over the weekend, we went down to St. Pete to a monthly antique market called Brocante to walk around. There's always weird and interesting things.

Aurora found an appropriate sized sailboat:

After, we headed a little further south to the city of Gulport. I'm a member of a group called Localshops1 - all about helping support local businesses in the community - and they have a storefront. I won a contest to have a photo of mine displayed there so we brought it down.

There was a small break in the rain so we walked around the main street a little bit.

We saw a cool manatee mural too:

Last few days it's been rain, rain, RAIN and more RAIN!! Tons of thunderstorms. It's unusual for us to have "all day" storms like this, let alone all day for 5 days in a row. But 70% of Florida is in drought conditions, so  we can use it.

Here was yesterday's radar for example:

...today's shaping up the same. It's ok, I'm just doing my physical therapy a couple times a week anyway (Monday & Wednesday this week and next) so during the week there's not been a lot going on.

I have not been PMing individuals, but keeping my list updated in the gallery -but I do have yours, mandykaye.
I was not pm'ing individuals either due to the size of the swap. I have received everyone except roler!

MegaCon was a whirlwind so I didn't get as many pics as I wanted (you're so overwhelmed with everything, it's hard to remember what you've taken photos of or not!) but here's some of Aurora's adventure attending the huge convention.

Here's the outside of the Orange County Convention Center (2nd largest in the entire US!) where the con was held. They had the entire north/south building which is 1 MILLION square feet of space!!

We stayed overnight in the hotel literally across the street. Here's the view from inside the building looking back at our hotel:

Since it was like $70 for a pic or autograph, we just took covert pics from afar:

Apparently, Aurora WAS the Little Visitor this Stormtrooper was looking for! Grin

Thankfully, no Little Visitors were harmed in the taking of this pic:

It's such a big space!

But much fun was had, even if is a bit of sensory overload! Grin Hopefully, we will be attending Tampa Bay Comic Con the end of July as well so she'll get another chance to get her geek on!

As always, click any pic for larger version!

Here's a teaser from our epic weekend at Megacon. I have so many pics to go through and a lot on my dslr I'll need to see what came out, but meantime...

And just because I'm super excited and proud, here's me meeting Tom Wilson - aka Biff from Back to the Future

More to come!

We spotted Smokey The Bear the other day and Aurora wanted her pic with the "celebrity bear" so he was nice enough to pose with her. Cheesy

Finally updated my received list. Put my received cards in my binder too (with the ones from last year and my pocket letters as well!)

My cards are done, envelopes sealed, and they will be going out in tomorrow's mail.

Thank you! No, my friend Beth made it... and 7 others! We had all the Avengers: I'm Iron Man, she's Captain America, we also had Winter Soldier, Hulk, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Thor, plus Loki! Here's one of the group shots (just me, Cap, Hulk, Thor, and Bucky):

Those are awesome!!

.71+.49=1.20, which I thought was how much I paid per international stamp at the PO, but this says 1.15 (these are the exact stamps I purchased):

https://store.usps.com/store/browse/uspsProductDetailMultiSkuDropDown.jsp?productId=S_589204

Either way, I think you're covered. Smiley
Thank you. My brain just would not accept this logic for some reason. LOL I was having a glitch. Cheesy

So I made 20 cards. Then realized I needed 21. D'oh. Last night I put the cards in envelopes....and some how managed to be short FOUR not just one. I have no idea how that could have happened. I went back through and checked to make sure I didn't put two in any envelope but if I did, I couldn't find it.

Now I need to make up more. I have more fronts and and backs made so it's just a matter of assembly.

Today's my 40th (eek!) birthday though so I'll do it tomorrow. Grin
