Well Amelia had an adventurous weekend with me as we attended Megacon Orlando Friday and Saturday! It was my birthday on Thursday and my all-time favorite actor, Michael J. Fox in my all-time favorite movie, Back to the Future, was coming to Orlando for the convention!! We had a TON of fun and she got to see so many cool things. Here's just a few teaser highlights of the 2 days we were there.

Much fun was had but man, we're exhausted now. Best birthday ever though!

Was up at my Mom's today to hang out with her for Mother's Day. One of her cats, Wheezer, wanted to check out Amelia. He was very curious. Cheesy

We went and saw Endgame on Friday! They had this cool display in the lobby which made for a perfect photo opp for Amelia. Cheesy

For Easter we dyed eggs with shaving cream and made zombie Peep cupcakes.
I like that the eggs coordinate nicely with Violet's coloring! Cheesy

It's been a not-too-exciting week around here. My husband had his knee surgery a week ago today so it's just been dr visits and physical therapy mainly every day. Today was PT:

Afterwards, we hit Costco and I had to get a pic with these GIANT king crab legs!! Holy cow, $220 worth of crab legs:

The funny thing is, we just watched Deadliest Catch last night and they were wrapping up the king crab season. Cheesy

Friday, we managed to snag afternoon showing for Endgame, so we're all looking forward to that.

We had back-to-back shows this weekend. Saturday in Dunedin and Sunday in Seminole Heights on the grounds of historic Hillsborough High School. Here's a few scenes from a couple workdays.

Saturday:

(This is Coupe DeVille - or Cooper for short. He is the unofficial market mascot and belongs to one of the vendors. She brings him on his harness some days and he just hangs out getting love and naps all day.)

Sunday

Wednesday my husband has his knee surgery (to repair the torn meniscus) so the next couple days are going to be cleaning the apartment and prep for that.

We had our monthly market in Hyde Park Village in Downtown Tampa on Sunday. I had a chance to take a few pics as we were setting up.

This is looking down the road outside of my booth. It goes on for a long way down the main street which is closed for the market.

This is my neighbor on the other side of me who drives his 67 WV bus and has a photobooth inside. Very jealous of how easy his setup and breakdown are! Grin

So yesterday I had to go for an eye check since I take a medication which has a rare side effect of damaging your vision.

I got off the elevator and there was a huge, rather impressive etched glass waterfall art installation thingy (technical term) of St. Michael. I'm not religious but it was pretty impressive in the scale and detail and craftsmanship.

I had a bunch of various tests and exams, then they dilated my pupils and I was waiting in the room for a few minutes for it to take full effect. I tried to get a couple pics of during that time....and apparently they were super blurry. Grin This is the best of them:

We went to see Captain Marvel last night.

The reclining seats were a bit oversized for her!

So was the drink and popcorn for that matter! Grin

But we enjoyed the movie.

And of course, had to stay to the very end for the post credits scene too.

I love Flobot's matching steampunk hat! Grin

I love showing all my LVs this 500+ year old oak tree outside of my husband's neurologist. You can see the building next to it for scale. It's just MASSIVE. The thing is so old, they have an anchor system in place to help support the weight of the branches.

To think, this tree was a sapling around the time Ponce de Leon was sailing to Florida!!

It's been a hectic week around here with my mom in the hospital with pneumonia and Love needing an MRI because the ortho thinks he has a torn meniscus in his knee. So we haven't done anything fun yet. But Amelia came to work with me today. We had a show in Dunedin which is such a great little town that is really holding onto it's small town, main street, local vibe.

Looking out from my booth, this is my view for the day:

And this is a shot of her in my booth:

It wound up being SUPER busy (which was awesome!) but it meant we didn't get any other pics around the market. We'll be back in a couple weeks though so no worries! I have multiple shows every month so plenty of time for her to learn the ropes! Grin
