1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Romper Pattern? on: February 15, 2009 07:10:29 PM
I have been scouring the internet for a romper pattern like this:

But I have had no luck!
Does anyone have a suggestion, a site or a tutorial?
It would be much appreciated.
I was thinking if I did make it, maybe in a fabric like this?

Thank you!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cute Flannel Shirtdress. on: February 15, 2009 07:00:13 PM
I just finished reconstructing this huge XL mens flannel shirt into a cute shirtdress. I originally got the shirt at my local animal shelter (they have a thrift store to supply profits xD) and the thing was beyond huge.  So I got really excited today and at the spurt of the moment, I created a nice shirtdress in under 2 hours!
Pardon the bad quality of the photos, as I was using a Web Cam.

I'm sorry I couldn't post a picture of what the shirt looked like beforehand, b/c I was soooo excited to make this dress! Here's an acurate representation of the shirt pre-reconstruction to scale:

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Real Quick Photography Question! on: September 06, 2008 09:27:18 PM
What do you call a photograph that has yourself twice in it as if you were 2 different people?
You know like you are on one side of the photo and then there is another one of you on the other side dressed differently.
I just need a quick answer. Thanks!
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / David Hockley Inspired Polaroid Wall Art on: July 31, 2008 07:27:23 PM
I have no clue if this is in the right board.
I supose it's a crafty houseware since I'm putting it on a wall.

Here is a little photo montage wall art that I made.
$5 scrapbook frames at Micheals. :]

I was inspired by this Hockney original:

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Contact Paper. on: July 29, 2008 06:02:52 PM
Where would one buy contact paper?
I mean of course you can get it online, but I mean like at a retail location.
I was thinking about a woodgrain type of pattern.
Does Micheal's or Hobby Lobby sell it?
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tutorial: Rucksack/Backpack! (Pic Heavy) on: July 23, 2008 04:26:43 PM
Today was pretty rainy since a hurricane just hit the lower part of Texas.
I had nothing to do.
So I spent a good portion of my day making this rucksack for school.
Which isn't even till The end of August.
And then I spent a larger portion of my day making this tutorial for ya'll. :]
I hope ya'll take it into good use.
I'll be happy to answer any questions about the tutorial.
Quick question,
What do you think I should do to make the bag I already made a little bit more zazzy?
Thanks and Enjoy.

I'm sorry I clash today since I was stuck at home...

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Retro Bathing Suit Help on: June 07, 2008 06:53:44 PM
I was wondering whether or not anyone had some sort of pattern or tutorial for a retro style bathing suit like this:

It would help if someone had something, so that I can make one similar so I won't have to go out and buy something overpriced and ill-fitting.

Thanks :]
8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Reconstructed Retro Converse Flats w/ Vintage Fabric Ankle Straps on: May 28, 2008 09:28:56 AM
I'm sorry the title is a mouthful.
So anyways, I was really bored yesterday so I decided to make shoes instead of study for finals.
I had these pair of black converse that I never wore anymore so I revamped them to something more unique.
I hacked the tops off and added a piping(?) of this kitschy vintage rose fabric I found in a box in the attic. I added some purple buttons and make ankle straps out of the remaining fabric and sewed on burgundy button closures.
Pics below.

This is a charm bracelet that I made yesterday. I got the idea from the Cut Out+Keep website,

But I also decided to make a matching pair of earrings too!

The Bracelet!

The Earrings!

Action Shot! (My hair looks really good! Sweet.)

Usually I don't go for rainbow colorful stuff but I made an exception with these, I'm usually a ragged hippie. Hehe.

10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Some edited photography I made. on: February 23, 2008 12:47:20 PM
These are some pictures I had edited, it's not that much or impressive, but I think they turned out good for me being new to photography and photo editing.

This is an antique looking photo of daisies. (Not my photo thought)

Muted daisies. (Not my photo either xD)

My boyfriend. It did a selective coloring technique. (Yes, my photo.)

An Andy Warholish photo that took me a really long time. (Me, by the way.) This is my boyfriend's birthday gift this year. (I'm making it into a puzzle :])

Hope you enjoy!
(More to come! )
