1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Paper dangly thing on: May 15, 2006 10:52:58 AM
I got a bug up my butt to make a new dangly thing for my baby to look at - she seems to like the color red and cheerful looking circles and none of the fancy toys I found online seemed to be exactly right.  So I came up with this...

She seems to like it, but I can't figure out where to hang it.  Right now it's in a doorway and I have to hold her up to see it.

Even if I didn't have a baby I think I would like having this in my house.  It's pretty sharp and modern looking...I've outdone myself!

And here's a gratuitous picture of my cute baby - best DIY project I've ever undertaken.

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: rag doll on: September 02, 2005 07:58:00 AM
I did design the pattern myself, but I have to say that <a href="http://www.loobylu.com/">loobylu's cats</a> were super-inspirational.  She is a genius.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: rag doll on: August 27, 2005 08:11:33 AM
The face is, indeed, embroidered, and the legs are striped fabric.  For some reason, the outfit was the hardest thing to make; I guess I need more practice.  Thanks for all the nice comments!

I made her for my friend's baby.  I think she's awfully cute, although she came out a bit raggedy around the edges.  Well, she's the first one I ever made, so I'm proud.  What do you think?

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: magic pickle on: July 26, 2005 02:51:09 PM
Doug's a lucky guy!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" on: July 25, 2005 08:24:19 AM
The blanket.  The BLANKET.  Did you notice that it had little triangles around the edge?  Little triangles!  I was trying to figure out if it would be crochet-able, because I can't knit, but also thought it could maybe be quilted out of knit fabrics?  cheat-y, I know, but I will do whatever I have to, because I MUST HAVE THE BLANKET.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: embroidered buds purse on: July 13, 2005 01:49:34 PM
I love this, and I love the embroidery!  Well done.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: CRAZY eclectic skirt on: May 21, 2005 06:08:30 AM
I LOVE this!  It's eclectic, but it still all goes togther because of the color.  Is it all fabric paint or what?  Can you wash it?
9  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: More needle felting! Meet Mr Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear on: February 19, 2005 08:25:57 PM
I worship this bear.
His shape is divine.
Oh how did you make him?
Your skills are mighty fine.
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Beaded clock on: February 19, 2005 08:20:13 PM
I think that you should check out the artist Liza Lou: http://www.the-daily-record.com/past_issues/03_mar/000326dr5.html.  I went to a show of hers last year, and it was incredible.  Maybe you can be her young apprentice!  Oh, and I am quite sure that she strings the beads and then glues a whole string at once...
