1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / branching out on: July 18, 2007 09:17:26 PM
i generally make my own patterns, work without them, or use free patterns online.  i'm curious what everyone's favorite pattern (to buy) sites are--i want to make some new stuff Smiley
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / DIY blocking board on: July 11, 2005 04:40:30 PM
i'm trying to get serious and finish my projects properly--i'm making a dress that requires some blocking.  i'm short on cash as usual, and i was wondering what surfaces are good for blocking, or if anyone has made their own blocking board.
any help is appreciated.

silliness.  for christmas, i xstitched monkeys and cheese for one of my girlfriends.  she loves to talk about them both, so i thought they were a good gift Smiley

they're actually both the same size, like 2X2, in tiny frames
the monkey is a little fuzzy
5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / i need your curry on: December 05, 2004 06:46:09 PM
for anyone that makes a mean curry, i want your recipe!  i made a super simple one the other day and it wasn't up to par.  indian cooking is not my forte, but i am learning.
oh, i'm vegetarian, so veggie curries are preferable.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / doggie styles on: October 31, 2004 09:05:08 AM
i have been searching for a pattern for a sweater for my dog.  unfortunately, he's a collie-shepherd mix (quite large), and all the patterns i am finding are for put-in -your-purse-size canines.  and they're ugly.  does anyone know of a good large dog sweater pattern?

i also need to outfit a friend's beagle named bumper.  she's adorable, and i know she's just begging to be clothed.  any cute ones for beagles?

any help is good, thanks!

the food: takeout indian

the question: which dishes are vegan?

i know a lot of the vegetable dishes have butter in them, does anyone know which dishes are completely vegan?

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / fave afghan/blanket patterns? on: August 27, 2004 09:42:28 AM
hey all-
my absolute favorite thing to crochet are blankets, especially ones that are colorful and fairly hip.  i was wondering if people would be willing to post their favorite blanket patterns, with pics of completed work if possible.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / crochet merch? on: August 05, 2004 05:24:39 AM

i'd like to wear my craft on my sleeve
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / obvious answer to stupid question? best way to... on: July 27, 2004 10:16:04 AM
hey all,
i've been crocheting my entire life, and it just occurred to me that i've never made a blanket by making squares, then stitching together.  i've decided to take the leap, any suggestions on the best way to attach the individual blocks?
(is there any way other than sewing?)
