21  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / One Billy Goat Gruff. on: April 21, 2009 01:29:58 PM
Just before Mardi Gras in Mobile, Al I was a guest at the Buccaneer Yacht Club's Billy Goat Regatta 2009.  Not much sailing was accomplished, but it was a hell of a party.  I made this pendant to thank my hostess for the wonderful time I had, and to commemorate the great Goat!

I'm so glad you like it all.  It was not a bit of trouble.  Actually it got me into a great creative groove that I've been coasting on ever since.

Try tying that ribbon around the collar of the shirt, I just stuck it on that button to keep it from tangling all over the place.

Well, I'm the last to send but I hope it will all be worth the wait.  Here are the teasers for Elizabethn's package!

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: SEAMLESS SWEATER on: March 20, 2009 03:51:12 PM
That's fabulous.  My favorite sweaters to knit are seamless raglans too.  So customizable!
25  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Janis Joplin Vest Pattern on: March 19, 2009 07:39:02 AM
I'm gonna say that's definitely crochet mesh, and is totally cute!  I'd try some swatches of filet mesh in a sport weight cotton and go from there.  My best guess on the pattern shape would be the circular shrug pattern on the knitting board, adapted to crochet.
26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: American Apparel ripoff on: March 15, 2009 04:06:35 AM
Thanks guys!  I haven't gotten around to taking any more pictures of it, but I'm sure I will when I wear it out.  It's quite a versatile piece.
27  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / American Apparel ripoff on: March 12, 2009 07:46:33 PM
When I first saw the Le Sac dress on the AA website I thought, "I could make that.  I really want that!"  So finally I delved into my collection of vintage dresses to reconstruct a huge shirt-dress with a great print.  I just hacked it off at the armpits, bound the raw edges and added a channel for the ribbon to go through.
