Lovely work there. You have inspired me to learn to crochet!

Annalou your mods are most excellent. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the handles.

BeginnerKnitter, love the colors you used!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Do you have Knitty experience to share? on: July 05, 2005 08:34:39 AM
I have always submitted a bit backwards. Emailing in a sketch/swatch pic and specs on what I want to submit. Amy is great about getting back to you for she has The Eye. Some things have been stopped before starting (saves time no?) and others encouraged. Waiting for the rejection/acceptance email would be torture I tell ya! And, knowing that chances are good makes a difference while hammering out the math details and getting the design to completion. Good luck to all of you! Always look forward to seeing new designers out there.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: applied i-cord help! on: July 05, 2005 08:26:44 AM
It should be oriented as in the photo here.
Sorry, can't find the i-cord attachment pics for Via Diagonale but orientation is the same. Let me know if you need more clarification.

Do they call you Darth Amy?

Gotta admit, that does have a nice ring to it.

On the knitty boards, someone posted that it was up as an April fools joke.  I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.  I was so disappointed when I finally figured it out.

You're not the only one Wink

It'll be up before the end of the week I think.

*waves to her neighbor fiberfairy*

Hiya  Spitbubbleluv!  I live here in the centro of Catania, hubby is a local who works at SIG. I've been living here "happily ever after" for seven years now. There are fab resources to be found while we are lacking some of the basic crafty stuff thankfully since you'll have an APO ordering/shipping will be a breeze (yes, I have APO envy teehee).

From the center of Catania where you'd park most of the spots that have supplies are in walking distance. The market - yarn, fabrics galore!, used clothes if you're into recycling (not to mention the rest of the usual market fair). Via Manzoni which is a couple blocks over from the market area - more fabrics and yarn and findings and a couple art supplies shops in the general vicinity. Wether you can easily find what you're looking for locally really depends on your persistence, timing and planetary alignment. Many times I've wished to be transported to a Michaels type shop for 30 minutes and unlimited funds Smiley But again, you can always order online what you can't locate here, though looking round here is half the adventure !

Definitely look up the knitting group, if you're into hashing (running not drugs) we have an H3 here too!
