2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Step Away From The Spray Starch (aka easy removable xmas decals) on: December 07, 2011 10:44:25 AM
Amazing idea. This could really work with different fabric decals all the year round - have not known of the spray starch tip before, but now I will be using it a lot I think!

Try typing the web address in www.archive.org

The Wayback Machine always comes up good for me when the internet fails Smiley
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: magazine bowls (first project post!) TUTE ADDED!!! (have pic hosting issues..) on: February 01, 2006 04:26:23 PM
I've noticed some of these bowls are turning out more 'rounded' than the others. Like, some are all perfect circles, whereas some have more 'geometricity' (new word!) about them? Any ideas why that might be?

I hit This Rocks for you, and immediately went off in search of perler/hama beads and pegboards.

Now if only I could work Photoshop to get the image in the first place
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Folding screen/Room divider on: January 30, 2006 04:24:33 PM
A quick google came up with this

Here are some instructions

Instructions for a fabric covered screen

Yet more instructions

It looks really easy. The basic idea is you get four panels of wood and hinge then together.

I saw a great screen somewhere that has spaces cut out of it for photos. I also saw instructions for one involving trellis, but I can't seem to find it right now. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out!

Edit: Here is the trellis one. There are quite a few on that site.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Infinity lighting on: January 30, 2006 04:03:51 PM
I have been debating whether or not to buy these amazing infinity lights from Uncommon Goods.

To make them myself, I thought about making a 3D picture frame, with the front and back made of two-way glass. Then I could put one side on hinges so I could pop the candles in.

Any ideas? Thanks!
9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: tarrot cards? on: December 21, 2005 06:55:27 AM
Decorate with them, use them for coasters or for the covers of little journals.

I would highlight the accents with a touch of silver paint and distress it. Maybe etch something on the glass?
