1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Shipping Tags on: January 10, 2012 10:25:40 PM
So I've gotten back into playing with paper crafts and I've gotten myself some nice stamps, inks and such for Christmas. I thought I'd play around a little last night and this is what I got.

They're not perfect, but I kinda like them. Smiley Sorry about some of the photos. The lighting is shocking today and they didn't want to stay put, either.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Horse pattern? (sewn) on: March 06, 2011 12:28:11 AM
Does anyone know if there's a horse pattern that actually looks more realistic? Not perfect but not too cute-wee-kids-toy and not "hot dogs for legs"? I know there's that really complicated one on dA that was also posted here, but it's far too big and wouldn't downsize well. I'd like one that could be made reasonably small.  It doesn't have to be a free pattern as long as it doesn't cost and arm and a leg and a lung. Grin

I've seen some felt model horses recently and want to try but patterns don't seem too easy to come by and I'm not sure I could get a horse pattern right on my own.

Thank you.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Doll houses from scratch? (1:6 scale, but all ideas welcome) on: July 19, 2010 09:31:27 AM
I'm getting a new doll in the mail soon, nothing too fancy just a 27cm Obitsu. But when she gets here I want to make her a a home as well as all the clothes and things.  Grin

I've got a few ideas about how I might go about it, but I'd honestly prefer to avoid using too many power tools as I'm rusty with them, and I don't want to redo a brought house as I don't like plastic doll houses and the wooden ones are way, way out of my budget... and most dollhouse kits are smaller than the scale I need (the 27cm dolls are about 1:6 scale, a lot of doll houses are 1:12).

I could use more ideas though... I could just make room boxes, but I'd prefer an actual house. So what would you recommend to build the actual house? Something reasonably sturdy, hopefully... Hmm..

(also, has there ever been a doll-house-along? That could be fun.)
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Itsy Inchie.... Monsters! on: June 23, 2009 09:23:28 PM

I present to you my first lot of inchies! Theyre a motley sort of crew, not a set really just a bunch I happened to make around the same time. The ones with googly eyes are what I like to call Itsy Inchie Monsters. Scary they may not be, but I bet they could charm the socks off of you. The star and butterflies may be going to my penpal when I get to her letter the tree was just for the hell of it. The bird remind's me of my twitter obsession, more than a little...

And here are some unfinished bases, the pink and purple ones are going to be a name plaque for myself. Or they will once I work out how I want to do the lettering... these inchies are too addictive.

The blue one with the waves is supposed to be inspired by Morgana/Morgan Le Faye, but I'm yet to decide what to add to it. :/
(psst, if you want close ups & more shots there's some at this blog post)

I think you can count me converted to inchieism... is that a word? >.>
5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Search/Show images only issue? on: May 16, 2009 08:03:07 AM
It's been going on for hours (6+) now, it keeps telling me to try again later - at first it was just the "Show Images Only" button and just now it's the search. I know the software cuts stuff out when the server is stressing, both from personal experience and the fact it told me so - is there something wrong for it to be doing this so long, though?
