My package from Jexxican is AMAZING. Seriously, I am in awe of her yarn ball skills.
She sent such great items! The yarn and pattern are straight from my pinterest, she sent me "My Vampire Boyfriend" and a gorgeous blood red yarn that is super yummy for socks.
She sent me a skein of handspun yarn which is to die for. It is bulky weight and absolutely scrumptious. I have great plans for it.
She sent me a soft yarn bowl that has a hole I can run the yarn through or use a just a bowl. I think I am going to use it to hold my buttons. She sent me lots of really cool buttons and beads. She even sent me things like two little sharpies which are perfect for my first week back to school. She also sent a tea wallet with some yummy tea. I am a huge tea drinker at home and at work so that will be used alot.
For my daughter, she sent a GORGEOUS brightly neon colored sock monkey. My daughter grabbed it right away and loved it. She sent her tons of glitter and other girly girl stuff which is currently in the bowl that Jexxican sent me.... I think my daughter is trying to keep my bowl too. LOL
Just finished this bag. I followed a tutorial I found on pinterest and made modifications to suit my needs. I added pockets to hold stitch markers, measuring tapes, etc and a little bit of elastic to hold double pointed needles. I also added a bit of ribbon so that I can use a caribeener to hook it up to my jeans when I am out and about. It is missing the drawstring but other than that, it's ready.
I was getting frustrated with the plastic stitch markers I bought. They were getting in the way of my stitches and the split rings were getting caught on my yarn.
I looked up some stitch marker tutorials on pinterest and came up with these.
Dyed this little hank with Lemonade and yellow McCormick food coloring. I used a tutorial that produced an ombre effect, the yarn starts out being dark yellow and gets gradually lighter at the center.
It's 230 yards of superwash wool/bamboo/nylon fingering weight.
