1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / New melted bead projects on: April 07, 2007 09:42:23 PM
Hey all,  I just made a few more melted bead creations and I wanted to share with the class  Grin

I made these nightlights for my mom and stepdad for Easter.  All I did was melt the beads in a square form, then mold them around the side of a standard coffee mug.  I gluegunned them to some $1 nightlights from Wal*Mart and voila, shnazzy Easter presents!  (one is the moon and the other is Saturn or some other ringed planet):

This one inspired the nightlights, but I made it for myself because I needed a nifty piece of home decor for my new apartment.  I did the regular bead-melting thing and then stuck the big beads on after I took it out of the oven so they wouldn't melt:

More bead fun to come, I'll post again soon!
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / My first melted bead bowl! on: March 29, 2007 08:09:25 PM
So I just got an account here and I've been cruising around looking for something fun to do for my sister's birthday.  I came across bead melting and it's officially my new favorite pastime.  I know this isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but I think it's pretty cool.  Let me know what you think. Grin

This is my first post, I hope I'm doing this right.
