15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ikea Pax: how to make this look fabulous? on: July 27, 2007 12:10:08 PM
thanks for all of your ideas!

the thing is, i realized i wanted to make the modification not permanent, so when i save up enough money to buy the wardrobe i love, i could always sell this one. KWIM?

If you want to resell it afterword, I would just make sure that a) whatever you decide to do to it is adaptable to many people, and b) that the work IS permanent enough to hold up through use and changes of hands. There are plenty of resale shops that LOVE revamped furniture.

As for what to do with them..... I think that adding full length mirrors to the doors and some fancy crown moulding to the top and painting it a great color would dress them up enough to go in your elegant bedroom.

Hehehe that quilt is laying on my bed too!!! I painted this picture to hang in my bedroom and match my lovely quilt..... I did NOT intend for it to be so, but many people that look at it think I did a self portrait. Of course, I am no where near that thin nor are my ladies that perky!!!
