21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / I has made a Pointy Kitty on: September 09, 2010 01:35:05 PM
Made this tabby for a swap. He's now been named Trevor.

Used pattern from https://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/91988_08Sep10_SAM_0152.JPG[/img]]here
It was pretty straight forward and I just love how he turned out.

22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Nighteyes from The Farseer Trilogy on: September 09, 2010 01:18:43 PM
I recently embroidered this for a swap. i loved these books by Robin Hobb and Nighteyes was one of my favourite characters.

I found a picture on the web. Hand drew it onto a piece of jeans and embroidered over the drawing. I'm really pleased with the result.

What do you think?
Would yu have it on your wall?

23  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Art Gecko on: May 30, 2010 04:13:08 PM
I recently started going to a pottery class. I am absolutely loving it. I've had 6 2 hour sessions and finally I have something to post.

Art Gecko

This is a stoneware Slab Vase, decorated using iron oxide and transparent glaze, also a little bit of coloured glaze for the gecko and the lady bird.

Hopefully I'll have more finished items soon, such as my zombie bear mug, inspired by one I saw on etsy and my Dali melting clock bowl both made using coils.
24  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Sepia on my Camera on: September 25, 2009 02:38:20 AM
I'm doing a private Swap with a friend in the US.
I'm sending some photo's  of Scotland to her and on a whim decided to take these photos in Sepia. This is just a little taster. I'll put more up once she's received.

Duthie House Play Park, Banff

I really like it. What do you think?
25  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Day of the Dead Rag Doll on: August 18, 2009 01:48:41 AM
I made a DotD doll. It's my first ever rag doll. I was inspired by one on someone's wists, so I made her one for the OWS rnd 48.

She's mainly made from recycled material - body (old sheet), stuffing (old duvet) and dress (charity shop dress).
I love how she turned out.

26  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / R2D2 on: June 18, 2009 03:08:54 AM
I had a request for a R2D2 in the OWS swap. Here is my crocheted interpretation of R2D2

So what do you think?

Finally!!! It's finished.  Grin
I started this in October intending to have it reay for christmas, but as you may be able to tell I didn't quite make it.
Anyway here it is.

It's a Wendy's pattern from 1979. Think it turned out rather nice.

28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sunny Flower Hat on: November 22, 2008 06:52:55 AM
So I decided to make a hat, a nice warm hat.

Here it is:

It's not just a crochet hat, but the most skill was put into the crochet bit (the flower) than in the knit bit.
It's on my 8yr old, so it's a bit big.

29  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Wee Octopus on: September 23, 2008 12:09:42 AM
So the conversation went something like this

DD says "I'd really like a toy octopus to take to school to show the teacher."
Mummy Says " Is that for your project."
DD say "Yes."

So that evening before bed i had a moment of inspiration. I had a ball of wool, that I got as a freebie, that would be perfect for an octopus. So with hook in hand i made this:

30  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / lil' Monkey change purse on: August 26, 2008 05:44:23 AM
My DD has borrowed one of the items I'm crafting for a swap, so I'm making her a little replacement. I'm using Happy hookers, Lil'Monkey pattern to make her a monkey change purse.

Made from the pocket of a boys shirt, a zip I got from freecycle and a crochet monkey face out of Happy Hooker.

cute and quick. Hope she likes it.
