DawnsTrees - love the butterflies.

Smashu - OH stands for Other Half. Like the animal print hats.

ZombieLili - great art work, I'm always jealous of people who can do art. I can do copy, but not original.

Cinnamon teal - The cardinal is fab, I love this bright red bird. and the socks are perfect. I admire anyone with patience to make socks.

Luckdragon - nice work. I love the travel embroidery kit and the fabric used is lovely. The colours on your calorimetry are so pretty together.

waggonswest - adoreable mug rugs. I especially like the first one.

Kookie - has a pink fetish Cheesy The hats are so cute and small.

I just finished a project that I wasn't aware that I needed. Cheesy
It's valentine's next week and I will be away from my OH. First time in 8 years. I've already got him some Blu ray's for valentine's day. Whilst at work today I had a moment of inspiration and thought I could make him a little something just to remind him of how special he is to me.
A mini Elephant sock Monkey

Here he is:

He's made from baby socks.

23  Calvin and Hobbs Freezer paper in Stenciling: Completed Projects by zombiecazz on: February 09, 2012 12:32:44 PM
This is my first attempt at a freezer paper stencil.
I got a little kit in a swap a while ago, but only one bit of freezer paper. So I've put off having a go, until recently when I managed to buy a whole roll of the stuff.
This is my first go. I found a picture, I printed it directly onto the freezer paper and I spent an absolute age cutting it out. I almost gave up, but I am so pleased that I didn't

I'm now ready for more  Grin

Kookie the socks and scarf Rocks

I love the roller derby patches

Wow must be hard coping with so many allergies, my OH is lactose intolerant and it's unbelievable the amount of stuff that includes dairy...Like crisps and we're not even talking the cheese ones.

I have completed a Brand New to me Crafting Technique - Freezer Paper Stencil!!! Grin
Last night after work, I had a search through google images to look for something to stencil. It didn't actually take me long to find something I loved.
For the next hour or so I sat hunched over my table slowly cutting out all the fiddley little bits and thinking that maybe freezer paper stencils aren't the thing for me. Seriourly I almost gave up, heck I could probably paint the design free hand quicker.
Anyway I finally finished cutting  and proceeded to break out the iron and attach the stencil.
I then mixed up some textile medium and some black acrylic paint.
Then the hunt for a sponge to apply the paint. I found one in a box of kid's painting stuff and sponged the paint onto the stencil.
Then it was time for dinner.
When I came back I removed the freezer paper and ended up with this....

OK, it was so worth it. I love how well it turned out and how straight and unfuzzy the lines are. I did a little touching up with a sharpie and now both my OH and DD want one too.
Will be hunting out some more plain t-shirts ti stencil up.

27  My First Ever Mini Art Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by zombiecazz on: February 05, 2012 12:29:21 PM
I recently angeled for a swap and the recipient mentioned a liking for mini art quilts. Now I've never made one and I was intrigued. The subject was one of 4 BBC TV shows she liked and I choose Being Human, it's one of my favourites too.
The series starts with 3 main characters: A ghost; A Werewolf; A vampire.
This is what I came up with:

Ghost panel - She used to make a lot of tea at the start as she never left the house and it was the only thing she felt she could do.

Vampire panel

Werewolf Panel

Finished Quilt. It's about 12 inches square.

My head is totally in the crafting zone. Ok I'm not getting much done, but the ideas are flying and I'm feeling totally inspired.

I have a red project  Grin It's project 45: Polymer clay buttons for Cardigan and here they are

Red Scream Buttons.

and I finished a project all for me posted here and on my blog for action shots. Project 36: Cardigan for me.

I had to rack my brain to come up with a crafting technique that's new to me. Believe me there are not many that I haven't actually had a go of. I've never made polymer clay buttons, but I have used polymer clay before, so not polymer clay and then it hit me. In one of the swaps I did I got a freezer paper Stencilling kit, but there was only one piece of freezer paper in it, so I have never had the perfect pattern to use it with. I went online today and bought a hole roll and I plan to make for the first time ever some Freezer Paper Stencilled t-shirts.

30  Scream Buttons in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by zombiecazz on: February 02, 2012 03:27:15 PM
I'm a polymer clay dabbler. I generally stick to the ceramics, but wanted some bespoke buttons for my newly knitted cardigan.
These are the result.

The round one are the left over clay and will be added to my button stash.
