1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Re: do you print your own transparencies? on: July 08, 2008 01:21:10 AM
In the past, instead of printing on the transparency paper, I've printed on vellum, which works just as well.
2  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Lining the Queen of Hearts Bikini? on: June 07, 2008 12:53:08 AM
So, I've just finished the first cup of the QoH Bikini, and maybe I was knitting too loosely, or maybe the yarn I chose to sub with wasn't great (Patons Grace). Either way, the suit is slightly more revealing than I would choose to wear due to obligatory knitting holes. So, I have a couple of questions:

1. Will cotton yarn shrink at all in the wash? Can I block it to make the holes less big? (it's really just bothering me where I was knitting 2 together, lol).
2. If I were to line it, what would be the ideal liner? Swimsuit stuff from a local fabric store? Would I want to find one of those weird pad things?

I'll post pictures as soon as I get my hands on a camera.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: a few swap ideas on: July 08, 2007 01:44:38 AM
I really like the "Eat your fruits and vegetables" idea. You could do a lot with that one.
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Foster's Home for Imaginary friends? on: July 08, 2007 01:42:46 AM
Fosters is definitely one of the best shows ever. I don't think I'm allowed to participate in swaps yet (still need to make posts, I've been doing a lot of lurking), but if I was I would make someone create this swap right now so I could participate.

It'd be so cool to make a Bloo shaped tote bag or scarf or something. Cheesy
