21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: game over :( 30th birthday NES cross stitch on: July 14, 2007 08:36:50 PM
I love this!  Did you just use one of the online cross stitch generators to create the pattern?

I used PCStitch...same idea - it generates the same kind of image, but you have the ability to edit the generated pattern and create "stitch" fonts from the fonts on your computer.

these are awesome! and apart from them being blue and not pink they look exactly like the feet of raphie's bunny soot in "A Christmas Story" and that scores you serious bonus points!

you get my post of the week award!

lol, I thought of Ralphie too!!
well thank you for the kind words and award Wink

I made one!!

It turned out a little big, even though I did less stitches at the beginning, but it's soooo comfy. I used Lion Homespun as well, and a K hook instead.

Thanks so much for posting the pattern!! It was really quick; I think I'll make more in different colors!

fabulous idea, lol!
i was wondering if you would share the modification you made to insert/remove the squeekers?

I just crocheted two circles and sewed the edges to the bottom of the heels, but didn't sew around the whole circle; I left enough room so that she can take the squeakers out from underneath if they get too irritating.

If you go back to the first page, there's a picture. It's really just two circles, sewn into the bottom, that's all!

The design is great - I've been looking forever for a shrug that's not too bulky or puffy and yours is perfect. It's now on my to-do list!
