Here's the first photoshop project I ever did in college!  We had to get at least five different pictures and put them all together in a cohesive collage...

Oooh!! I had to do one of those in college too...but yours turned out WAY better than mine, lol. Nice bright colors, everything looks like it actually fits together too. Awesome job!

Wee! photoshop!! These are some that I did for fark.com PS contests:
(clicky thumbnails!)

(photoshop the cruxshadows...a goth band, the singer has this ridiculous fraggle hair...so i took that and ran with it!)

(photoshop a Far Side cartoon...boneless chicken ranch!)

(photoshop some ugly-ass birds.......i got nothin.)

and technically, this was done in MS paint, for fark - 'your favorite album in MS paint,' but I'm posting it anyway, because it was a good 20 hours of carpal tunnel madness Cheesy

wow, very nice!!

I really like your style of brushwork; I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. The contrast between the details & the squares of color works well. Lovely work!

this is my first project post sooo hi!
i first picked up a cross stitch kit two years ago for something to do on a plane ride; it was a little blue snail that just reminded me of old nintendo games & pixels so i absolutely had to learn cross stitch. after that i did "bite me" and "do not f--k with me" from subversive cross stitch and haven't done anything since.
well, last month i had my wisdom teeth extracted and finished this one:

and i'm working on making a frame with fimo skulls for it...

this week i made these little guys -

the alphabet is from the subversive cross stitch book Cheesy and i found a page full of tiny black&white cell phone logos; the monster-guys were from one of those files, but modified in color with different expressions & a little grill.

sorry they're both still wrinkly but i got excited that they were finally done, lol.
i can't put this stuff down lately, really...not a bad thing because it's fun!
175  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Made some Nintendo X-Stitch Patterns on: September 03, 2006 02:53:36 PM
i'm sure this has been discussed to death, but as it goes, i'm new here.

how do you make x-stitch patterns without photoshop or money?Huh??

http://www.darklilac.com/upload.jsp works well if the picture you want to convert isn't too complicated. you can size it however you need to and customize it to whatever color cloth you're using, and however many colors of thread you want to use. it might take a few tries but i've found it to be pretty useful Smiley
