1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Big knitted leaf on: September 04, 2004 02:43:17 AM
HI. Do any of you crafty people know of a pattern for a big, as in washcloth sized, knitted leaf. I can find patterns with a leaf design easily but what I want is an actual leaf, preferably with a defined central rib. Any help would be appreciated (ps I don't crochet) Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Paris Loop on: July 27, 2004 08:20:57 PM
Is anyone interested in doing the Paris Loop pattern or similar Paris Loop inspired garment with me? I've seen a couple of lovely ones out there but I know lots of you have it on a to do list somewhere. I'm a nursing Mama and this pattern looks super baby friendly  Wink I'm going to use some soft boucle wool in multi shades of blue that I recycled from a thrift store jersey. I think its double knitting but who knows! C'mon folks you dont need the fancy wool for this, surely.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitting rubber? on: July 08, 2004 04:14:08 PM
Has anybody out there tried knitting rubber? I was thinking that thin strips of bicycle innertube might make an interesting yarn and wondered if anybody might have tried it. Any tips, especially for cutting a regular strip or for what gauge neddles to knit on would be very welcome!
