1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dress Form on: April 18, 2007 04:36:42 AM
EXACTLY! lol

hubby got me a dressform for christmas. i set her up to my proportions and the first thing he said after was, wow do you really have that belly pooch like it does?

i have had to embellish her a lil bit with padding to get proportional proportions but it wasnt too hard to do at all.

great bags!

i have a question tho, how did you keep the boxy shape of the bag with no interfacing?

i love boxy looking bags but i cant figure out how to do it.

you can still make a circle skirt if you want, you just need more fabric to add to the bottom, or top of it.

or you can make a simple no sleeves top. you just need a big rectangle, some elastic and 2 straps.

i love the patterns on that site westbrook

i finished a bag for my toddler. its made from thomas the tank engine fabric and it has a button hole. i need to tweak it a lil bit. i need to shorten the straps or jakey needs to grow. i am thinking about making the bottom flat so it will stand.

ive been following a thread about dress forms and played with mine a bit over the wkend. i am working up the courage to make myself a skirt or a top.

that is a precious dress!

and i know what you mean about not being able to have a lil girl. the pattern in my husband's family is so strong that it takes a 5th kid to be a different gender from the first 4. no thank you. 2 is enough for me.
