Thank you for the compliment.
I like to put my newest stuff on this site to see whether people like them or not.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Pen for my Father's Mail Man on: June 17, 2010 12:36:10 PM
I had been fooling around with this layout for quite a while, but it just never finished. My Father asked if I would make something for the guy who delivers his mail, so that gave me a reason to go back one more time. I changed the solid border to a perforated border, which gave it a stampier look. I think I'm done

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Fathers Day Pen on: June 08, 2010 09:30:25 AM
I just put this pen together for my Father. He is a WWll Navy veteran, and received a Purple Heart at Guadalcanal.

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Be My Valentine on: January 08, 2010 09:36:10 AM
Is it indelicate of me to bump this back up for another year?
I only did it because I am such a Romantic!
6  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Halloween Cemetery on: October 19, 2009 05:35:31 AM
Just thought I would drag this out again this year.
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Dragons Anyone? on: July 02, 2009 10:48:48 AM
This is a laser engraved pen box that I have been working on for a while, and I think it is done. You can let me know. The trick is to get enough depth without the subject disappearing into the background.
I didn't draw the dragon. I wish I could draw like that. I only modified it for engraving.

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Stamp Stamp Stamp on: May 28, 2009 06:50:48 PM
I saw a quick tutorial for a pen coated with stamps, and though I would give it a try. Basically it as a decoupage project. I think the look is quite good. I collected stamps as a kid, so I really liked the outcome.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Claddagh engraved pen on: March 17, 2009 04:26:33 PM
I was a little surprised to see that someone had resurrected this post. Thanks to everyone who commented.

to answer enrjones - Yes I use a rotary device on the laser to engrave in the round. The device is designed for larger objects, but I have managed to fixture it for smaller diameters. It's still pretty tricky. I think that is why you don't see a lot of this type of engraving, even though there are a lot of laser engravers out there.
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Decorative Pillow on: March 11, 2009 09:06:14 AM
This is a micro fiber pillow that I laser engraved with a Coat of Arms. I do a lot of wood and leather, but this was my first attempt at fabric. I have a few details that still need to be worked out, but overall, not too bad. It is nearly impossible to keep the pillow in focus because of the curvature of the top. That gave me some real fits. Like anything else you try, the next one should be right on the money.
