Wow good job! Sometimes watercolor animal portraits look cheesy, but this looks very smooth and soft and slowly done. I like!

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Love your wedding? Then show off your photos here! on: October 14, 2008 08:09:53 AM
my best friend just got married two weeks ago. and she decided to get married three weeks before that. i made the cake, i set up the alter with 450$ worth of flowy fabric, i put the flowers in the vases, i laid out the food on the tables that i clothed and decorated...

and while most everyone thought the cake had been bought, and the flowers ordered, she knew it was all me and left without saying one singular thank you.
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Giant buddha head! Oh my! on: July 04, 2008 10:42:56 PM
weoo. good lord, thats one big huge buddha head you'd never find at tuesday morning or a store of the like. i think you did an awesome job, really inspiring! i did a paper on early buddhist art and architecture for one of my art history classes, and i think you did a great job capturing an antique look.
10  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Succubus feet (pic NSFW) on: July 04, 2008 10:39:21 PM
i got some ideas for some horns but i didnt read any one else's post so sorry if this is a repeat.

paper mache?
or take the horns off one of those costume viking helmets? you could add to it with paper mache.

oh well thats all!

as for the feet... you ever sewn stuff with boning? i could imagine you could do some cool things by getting red stockings and stuffing it with batting and then tucking it to make the gnarly joints and bends... then you could do washes with acrylic to add texture and depth of color. you could even collage fabric textures onto it to make a scaley effect or something. i dunno, i've never done it. just brain storming. or for a scaley effect you could get some huge tool that has big holes and use it as a stencil... not that you want scales. hope i helped!
