Ahhhh HELP! Ok i dont have a mixer at home..... i tried to make both recipies and the mix came out in small clumps of cream cheesyness. I let the cream cheese and the eggs get to room temp and mixed sugar, cream cheese, then 1/2 and 1/2 too.  Tongue

Do you have a blender?  I have a friend without a mixer and they just threw everything in the blender and ran it until it was smooth.  They had to keep stirring it though cause the mixture was a little too thick for it, but it turned out great!

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Scraphappy Scarf on: February 21, 2008 12:48:27 PM
So I finished this last December but I've been using it so much I haven't gotten around to posting it until now.

it's knit entirely in the round.  I started it last year because I wanted to learn to use DPN's, and got a foot or two into it and realized I didn't have enough scraps.  So after knitting many other projects and throwing leftover yarn into a scrap bucket, I finally decided this winter break that it needed to be finished.  I sat down, watched a lot of movies and voila!  A scrap scarf!

It's approximately 6 feet long and since it's knit in the round its very warm and comfy.  My mom liked it so much I had to teach her how to knit just so she could make one herself!

And now the pics!

And a few close-ups of some of my favorite sections

The sad thing is I overestimated how much scrap yarn I would need, and even after letting my mom raid it for her scarf, I still have a ton left over.

The good thing is most of the yarns I used on I've used on something else so it's like a memory hugging your neck and keeping you warm!

Lol, that's awesome.  Most people in my class just stolidly ignore me like I'm some sort of freak.  Only a girl in  my accounting class is brave enough to talk to me.  Cheesy

So I got bored during one of my classes, and since the professor gave me free reign to knit during class, I decided to make this adorable knitted turtle!  I mostly improvised the design and I didn't have scissors to cut the yarn so I basically crotcheted with a knitting needle to get the yarn around to make the legs, tail, and head.  It kept me amused and I might have accidentally learned something from the class.  Grin

Tell me what you think!

Gorgeous!  I've wanted to do this with all of my scrap yarn (not handspun sadly, just scraps.)

You should totally make like an entire orchestra, or something. (Kidding, but hey, I do wonder how long that would take... Wink)

That would be awesome and even more nerdy then this!!!  My goal is actually to do every instrument at least once, but i'm kind of a dork like that.  Roll Eyes
