I study fashion design and my school held a huge fashion show at a galleria. I created these two looks for the show. As you can tell, I have a thing for bows.  Smiley

Feel free to ask any questions!<3

5  Three-tiered top made of beautiful silky vintage fabric in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sophie345 on: March 04, 2010 02:37:24 PM
I found this fabric at an estate sale and fell in love. It's the perfect material for this top and so comfortable. I used McCalls M5853 for the pattern.

C & C's?

6  Ruffle-front blouse<3 in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sophie345 on: January 21, 2010 11:42:00 PM
I love any pattern that utilizes ruffles in the design, so I picked up Simplicity (New Look) 6836 right when I saw it. I made a hybrid version of this pattern my combining two different styles. I also used heavier linen fabric as opposed to the recommended chiffon. I also thought it would be more interesting to make the front panel and ruffles a different color than the rest of the blouse.

7  My first draping experience..silky evening gown in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sophie345 on: December 05, 2009 09:37:50 PM
I decided to try draping on my dressform for the first time because I love the idea of manipulating fabric until you get the design you want. I was also inspired by that project runway challenge where they turned 2 yards of fabric and 12 pins into amazing designs, except I used like 50 pins haha. It was a cool experience and I will definitely keep doing it. BTW the material is polyester made to look like silk..if I was to sew this dress together I would use real silk for sure.

8  Ruffly 80's Style Dress With Huge Bow..made from curtain backdrop! EDIT: RUNWAY! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sophie345 on: November 13, 2009 06:41:37 PM
Hey guys!
I made this dress for a college design project, in which we give recycled material new life. This dress started out as a holiday backdrop for Nordstrom that was headed to the trash. I snatched it up and made it a brand new dress that will be featured in my schools fashion show. I used Simplicity 2693, and it was a breeze. Get ready for some pictures, I'm kinda a picture whore.... Kiss

9  Spring Floral Mini Bubble Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sophie345 on: March 31, 2009 02:36:18 PM
Perfect for spring, its so comfy! I used Simplicity 2889, and it was a breeze to use. I altered the pattern to make it shorter and add a ruffled bubble hem to the bottom. I also added a removable bow in the same color fabric to the center. I used a cotton fabric from walmart and put in a back zipper. I love wearing it belted, gives it more of a vintage feel.
Any comments and suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

10  LOW CARB Chocolate Chip cookies!!(MEGA FLUFF) +Recipe! in Dessert by sophie345 on: February 05, 2009 04:53:19 PM
Soo I enjoy chocolate chip cookies, but I also want to keep my body in shape so I made these awesome low-carb chocolate chip cookies. They taste just as good or even better than regular choco-chip cookies and are even good for you because they have a full cup of protein powder! I love big fluffy cookies, but if you want them less fluffy just press them down flat before they go in the oven. On to the recipe:

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup Splenda
2 large eggs
1 cup almond flour
1 cup vanilla whey protein powder (make sure it has no sugar!)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
9 oz. or so of semi sweet chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 375F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat. Beat together butter, Splenda until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. In a separate bowl, stir together ground almonds, vanilla whey protein powder, baking soda and salt. Stir almond flour mixture into butter mixture until blended. Stir in choco chip morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.

Flatten with palm of hand. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden. Allow to cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet then remove to wire racks to cool.

This cookie is as big as my face.
