101  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fleece Winter Hats! on: January 05, 2005 12:00:48 PM
Our school is elementary, grades K-5, however we also house an early childhood program that starts as young as 3.

As to the Starburst wrappers... nothing....YET. Smiley I have now finished the "fabric" and I'm trying to get up the nerve to make the messenger bag. I'm afraid to cut it and wreck it! LOL

I even took it to the middle school I work at (I travel) to show my 8th graders. They contributed many of the wrappers. Smiley

Thanks for posting!

SO SORRY guys it took so long to get back to this. WEIRD weekend with new years and all.

Anyway, try the password BeccaBecca all one word, capital B's. I took the password off and it screwed it up but i've added it back so it should work now. Please let me know if you have any more problems!

Sorry for any inconveniences. Sad

Hope you can see them now and enjoy!
103  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Fleece Winter Hats! on: December 29, 2004 07:17:22 PM
Hey guys! I work at a school where most of our students can't afford hats so I took a weekend and came up with patterns for some fleece hats. Some of the patterns were modifications of some I found online. Enjoy!

Sorry the pictures have a bad color to them. As you can tell by the Packers hat, I'm in Wisconsin Smiley  Also, sorry for putting so many pics up but they're all photographed seperately.

What do you think? I made 42 hats for 30 bucks with remnants from Hancock's.

Been here a long time, though lurking, mostly.

My nickname came from my wedding date. I was tired of all the junkmail on Hotmail so I came up with some random thing.

Nineightohone... Nine Eight Oh One... 9/8/01

And yes, that WAS three days before "The" September 11th.

woo!  Pain in the rear to spell when people ask for my email address, though.
105  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Xyron or Lamidex? on: August 04, 2004 09:25:13 PM
I have a xyron and I love it.  I'm not sure of the number but I believe the 900. It has 2 sided laminate, 1 side laminate-1 side magnet, sticker backing,  1 side laminate-one side sticker backing....  and all are very easily interchangeable.

I've not heard of the other one...Sorry I can't help you out there...

I somehow stumbled onto something very...very... horrifying.  If I click on your links...I'm led to a picture that says "hotlinker!" and two men...unclothed...in a very compromising position.

A warning to others-CUT AND PASTE these links!!!

*goes to wash eyes out with bleach*

Doesn't bother me. Wink  Glad you enjoyed them!

Well, I've got to join the bandwagon here.  A friend of mine gave me this site awhile back to look through, came across all these posts referring to the "Jordy Bag" and never could find the original thread...found it last night...bought fabric today...and the rest is history.

I used the pattern but added other touches like everyone else *shrug*  The hair tie I used was too thick so it won't bend and I had trouble doing the edging on the bag but I figured it out by the last turn *GO FIGURE*.

The inside fabric is of Snoopy-I think it might be a baby fabric, not sure. Used some of that to make the button.

Hope the photo links come out!  The password, if asked, is BeccaBecca.
