21  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Revised calorimetry pattern? on: October 18, 2008 11:56:40 PM
Hi, I saw on here somewhere a revised pattern for the Calorimetry and now I can't find it.  Could someone please point me in the right direction?
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Trying to find a website on: September 13, 2008 06:37:26 AM
Hi, I'm looking for the website that converts images into knitting charts.  Thanks.
23  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Adding sleeves to a sweater on: August 31, 2008 05:23:45 AM
Well, I'm British so to me it's actually a jumper, but I thought that would just confuse most of you cos I believe a jumper in America is a kind of sleeveless dress.

Anyway, I've just finished knitting my first jumper/sweater and am having so much fun sewing the whole thing up (top down definitely looks like the way to go in future).  I was wondering the best way to sew the sleeves in though, any tips or pointers?  Thanks.
24  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 9 on: August 23, 2008 07:11:45 AM
Would anyone be up for organising another one of these?  I've taken part in a couple and I love them, but I'm not the organising type.  Some linkies for inspiration:

25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cherry bag on: July 14, 2008 06:32:32 AM
As my pear bag worked out so well for me (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249816.msg2774068#msg2774068)

I decided to use the same pattern to make another one in cherry print for another swap (I had the hardest time finding cherry print fabric here in the UK)

What looks like loose thread is a bit of fishing line on the floor - messy crafter.
26  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Cherry tape measure on: July 14, 2008 06:28:28 AM
Well, I made this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249817.msg2774075#msg2774075
and continuing the fruit theme I made a cherry one too for another swap:

27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Bambino bamboo bolero (thanks puglyugly) on: July 14, 2008 06:23:43 AM
Well, I saw this in One Skein Wonders and knew where I could get some cute bamboo yarn 2 for 1 and I had the incredible urge to knit it.  I don't know anyone who's having a baby and I'm not having one myself (I can't) but I just wanted to make this cute tiny thing anyway.  It's so little and cute and the yarn is so soft.  I don't know what to do with it though!  If you want it pm me and we can arrange a swap (am I allowed to say that?  Sorry if it's naughty.)

The colours are nicer in real life, although I guess some people might think it's too bright for a newborn.
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / bunch o' knitting needle bangles - on: June 24, 2008 12:44:16 PM
I got these needles from the pound shop (UK equivalent of dollar stores).

The great thing is, if you make em too tight (like I did) you can stick em back on the oven to re-meltify them and re-shape them.
29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My first shrinky dinks - 2nd image NSFW or kids! on: June 23, 2008 12:32:16 PM
Hi everyone!  These are my first ever shrinky dinks, I made them for swaps.  I have to say, this stuff blows me away, it's so cool.

Carrot charm for the veggie swap.

This is for the naughty words swap.

Pattern is from UK magazine Let's Knit.  Knit with one ball of Rowan Tapestry:
