41  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chain maille Celtic Slave Bracelet (Handflower) on: July 18, 2004 12:17:25 AM

Here's one of my most popular handflowers:

One of these days I'll get around to having some good modelled pics, too! Usually every time I pull one of these out, someone snickers and says something about a thong.....  Cheesy
42  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Maille bra and overskirt (metal clothing!) on: July 08, 2004 11:08:14 PM

I'm in the process of making an outfit from "The Scorpion King", but in the meantime, I wanted to post this:

The bra is made mostly from galvanized steel, in a Japanese 6in1 weave, and the overskirt is made mostly of aluminum, as you can see I got the desired "honeycomb" effect.

What do you think?  Cheesy
43  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Chain maille bag with rune inlay on: July 06, 2004 10:42:04 PM
I can't believe what all materials you crafty people make bags out of! Cheesy

I guess I'll add mine to the list:

Made from 1/4" brass rings, and blue anodized aluminum for the inlays. It closes up tight with the leather cinch around the top, and I haven't found too much that will fall through the holes, either.... Smiley

Oh, and this one's big enough to hold a Pepsi or Coke can, whatever ya like!

Like it?  Cheesy
44  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Chain maille candleholder / lamp thingie..... on: July 06, 2004 03:16:43 AM

Thought you might be interested in this.....

Mostly aluminum rings connected around a tuna can at the bottom. The very top has a leather thong to hang it from, helps with the heat after the candle's been lit for a while.

I have to make another one soon, my wife stole this one! Smiley

45  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / New(er) chain maille choker with wrapped cabochon on: July 04, 2004 04:22:28 PM

Had this together for a while now, but since I just joined, I figured it would be OK to post?

I think its quite elegant, all stainless steel; with a snake eye cabochon and faux pearl hanging from it.

Whatcha think?
