11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Chain Maille Celtic Knot Accent Belt! on: April 29, 2007 06:22:59 PM

I just finished this:

Here's a close up of the knot:

It's all stainless, except for the connectors inside the celtic knot and the ball at the end which are bronze.

I think it would be great with a renaissance outfit, what do you think?  Grin

Have fun!

12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / White Raindrops chain maille choker on: March 04, 2007 10:45:10 PM

Just made this one:

The cabs are hematite, and faux pearl 'raindrops'.

I think it reminds me of raindrops hanging at the edge of the roof.....lots of people have told me that it reminds them of Victorian jewelry, also.

What do you think?
Have fun!  Grin

14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chain maille necklace with skull and crossbones! on: October 30, 2006 12:55:17 AM
Happy Halloween!

I figured this was a great time to post this:

I like it because it's simple, and gothy, and just plain kewl!  Grin

I made the spiral weave necklace pretty quickly, and then one of my co-workers wanted a skull and crossbones on it for his daughter. Once I found this cameo, I knew I had to wrap it in maille to make it mine!

So, whaddaya think?  Cheesy

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / New purty chain maille stuff! Drape necklace, bracelet, butterfly necklaces on: July 03, 2006 02:41:06 AM
Hi again!  Grin

Been a while, wanted to show everyone some recent work!

First, a commisioned piece:

This necklace type I make quite a bit, but this one incorporated a special stone, for which I call this necklace "winter's eve". It's dendritic agate, and I think it's very special.

Next, a sterling silver and gold filled JPL bracelet:

and last but not least, two versions of my popular "butterfly" necklaces:

and Green:

I hope you enjoy them!

16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Sterling JPL chain maille triple necklace with amethyst....(whew!) on: May 30, 2006 12:19:10 AM
Good day!

Just finished this up, it's a nice simple design, I think.  Grin

Weaved it all in sterling silver, and the beads are beautiful amethyst! The weave is called jen's Pind Linkage, JPL for short.

I'm thinking about shortening the top of the triple section a bit, to let the other two sections drape a bit, not sure yet.

What do you think?

17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chain maille wrapped cabochon goodness! on: February 26, 2006 03:33:59 AM
Hi all!

Here's my newest! I had a big pack of these lucite cabs laying around, so I laid them out in different patterns til this one called to me!

Here's the first round:

and here's the final, with a set of drapes added to the hanging cab:

I took apart and used nearly an entire 24" spiral necklace to connect the cabs.

What do you think?  Grin

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / 2 new chain maille necklaces! Amethyst Rose, and Wrapped Tree Agate Cabochon! on: January 28, 2006 02:40:19 PM
Hello all!

Long time no see! I've been busy, making these!
So, without further ado, here is the finished product.

The 2 beads nearest each side of the rose are amethyst, then a graduated lightening of rainbow flourite out to the ends. It brings the earrings and necklace together, I think you'll agree.

Also, I just completed an oriental weave necklace from tree agate beads and a wrapped cabochon, here it is:

I hope you like both of these as much as I do!

Thanks again, everyone!

Hi guys!

I was commissioned to make these two handflowers for a woman at the last show I did, I finished the star one and started the butterfly while I was there on Sunday, and finished the butterfly this weekend.

I think they came out pretty well for no prior planning, what do you think?  Grin

20  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Pics from the Franciscan University Medieval Faire on: October 23, 2005 01:11:57 AM
Hi guys!

Had a blast at the Faire there in Steubenville, just wanted to share a couple pics....
This is the faire that i posted the chain maille rosary topic for:

Our tent and setup, mom and baby are watching the shop!

Bracelets, juggling balls, coif, and more....

Three of my homemade bowl necklace displays, and my blue velvet box of chokers and wrapped cabs!  Grin

I had a lot of fun, and made a good bit of profit also! Any questions about the pics just ask, and I'll try to help.
