So I received last week and have just been so buried I couldn't get this up until now... a super sweet, charming kite-themed hoop from marleymiss that I just absolutely adore... (I could've skipped my way home from my mailbox).  Grin

Thank you so much marleymiss!

I received an awesome (huuuuge) second package last week from EdenKitty and just couldn't get these up until now... I tried to capture everything in one big picture with some closeups -- there is a huge stash of fabrics for quilting and crafting (awesome patterns and textures), there were 4 containers of cotton candy from her company (so delicious that one didn't even make it to this picture), a Hello Kitty stamp, an awesome fleece PB&J toast pillow (I have a ton of wishlisted toast items), a yarn dyeing kit with kool-aid in rainbow colors and two things of yarn, a bottle with "Wishes" engraved on it, a really pretty pink brocade journal, yummy honey sticks (that go with the yummy tea from pacakge #1 so well.. Smiley )

I was so spoiled -- thanks so much EdenKitty for the awesome goodies!

[This time, posted in the right thread!  Shocked]

I had a fun trip to the mailbox today -- when I got there, I had not one, but two super awesome hoops just waiting to be taken home.  They are totally different but I absolutely love them both!

First up, ZidishaLuxe sent me a hoop on the theme of Moroccan, Turkish or Middle Eastern textile or tile design.  I was totally blown away by this one -- she has an absolutely beautiful stitching technique, and it's just perfectly executed as a design!  I love the colors and the pattern on this piece and I even love the framing, which looks like a vintage metal frame.

Second, I have this really sassy arrow themed piece from Lady Pistola -- I love the style of this directional arrow and there is a really nice use of stitch direction (and these stitches are beautifully tiny and even - so awesome!) I think this arrow will make me aspire to a hip-ness I don't possess.  Grin

There is such an amazing talent in this swap - it's truly inspirational!  Thanks guys for your waaaay awesome hoops!

I received a super cool steampunk hoop the other day from celticgoddess but its taken me a few days to get the photo up -- as you can tell, the color in this really pops and makes it look alive!  I absolutely love it!

Thanks so much for the awesome hoop, celticgoddess!  It totally rocks!

45  Re: I really need a friggin' crown (or other lofty headwear) swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by amnesia on: June 18, 2011 10:46:29 PM
So I received Thursday and I was super spoiled by not one, but two crowns AND a brooch... the first is papercrafted with a foamy felty lining and some really pretty bling:

the second was a wire and bead tiara-style crown that is actually sparkly but my camera wasn't picking up the sparkle right (so just imagine a shiny version of what's in the photo)
And finally the brooch:

Thanks so much for the awesome royal treatment, Samantha_McKay!

I received an awesome package today from craftaddiction!  So lovely!

First, a sparkly brown cowl (which was hard to photograph.. it's quite nice, but necks are a weird body part to capture on film):

Next, this beautiful lace scarf in a really delicate butter yellow color (so perfect for the summer season since I can wear scarves all summer here!)

And finally, the most absolutely adorable monkey friend.. he is just so friggin' cute and hugable!

Thanks again for an awesome swap, craftaddiction!

So I received on Thursday and finally had a chance to post..  I received a totally awesome, super charming package from EdenKitty

I opened the box and saw this cute Hello Kitty bag (one of her fav characters) and a note on some cool papers...

Next, a container with fancy cotton candy from the company she runs (which is super tasty... Smiley ), some yummy tea and lots of colorful, numbered packages:

Here's the rest of the spread, or most of it at least-- postcards of her favorite flowers, a CD of her fav singer/songwriter, some super good smelling soap:

And here are some close ups -- first a cool glass pendant, a spool of vintage thread (which she collects) and some mother of pearl coins (remind her of summer:

Some awesome tie-dye duct tape (random favorite -- I've never seen it in tie dye before!), vintage buttons, ribbon tapes with cats on them (her favorite animal) and some awesome yarn that SHE SPUN HERSELF! (how awesome is that?)

Finally, a lovely glass ornament with a folded crane inside:

I loved the package- I could tell it had a lot of heart and thought behind it.  Thank you EdenKitty!

I received a super awesome package from Sarahj2001 yesterday -- she totally did some expert stalking and I am absolutely in love with everything I received!

First up, this lovely lacy shawl, which I totally look forward to wearing this summer. Smiley

And this PB&J heart scarf (which I have coveted for so long... OMG, I can't believe it's mine now!)

And an adorable new octopus friend (which has a really pretty contrasting belly that I just realized doesn't show up in this picture, but it matches the big blue eyes Smiley):

I was totally spoiled --thanks Sarahj2001!

Never could find my camera cord last weekend but here are camera phone pics (which don't do the items justice but at least are something)... there is a tin with embellishments, an absolutely beautiful compact mirror and a very delicate butterfly pin (which I just adore)... Awesome!

Thanks again!
