91  mini yogurt pies in Dessert by TrickyMcVomit on: June 18, 2008 03:24:54 PM
I got this recipe from an American Girl magazine a million years ago and I begged my mom to let me make it and she actually agreed to help me...I don't know the exact recipe but this is close enough...and crazy that I remembered it all these years....I made it for my bf our first Valentines Day together...
it's also an awesome summertime treat...

(here it is in the palm of my hand)

here is my insanely vague recipe because I just wing it

(2)  6 packs of mini graham cracker crusts
(1)  regular sized container Cool Whip
(1)  large container Vanilla yogurt

mix equal parts of cool whip and vanilla yogurt (I usually use all the whip and 3/4 the yogurt...
line the bottom of the cup with whatever fresh fruit you enjoy...
this time I lined the graham with melted white chocolate and slices of strawberries, but I have used blueberries as well and I'm sure pineapple would be awesome....
the original recipe suggested strawberries or m&ms...
make sure you dont go overboard with the fruit in the bottom because you need room for the filling!!

pour the whip yogurt mix into the crusts, top with fruit slices for pretty
(and refrigerate of course)
I used a strawberry slice and a white chocolate blob
it was a first time for the white chocolate and it was s0o0o g0o0od
you will probably have some filling left over, which you can eat with a spoon, dip fruit in or I used to sprinkle crunchy cereal into it

I hope all of that made sense

92  Charles Bukowski inspired /warning: cartoon vomit!.! in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by TrickyMcVomit on: June 10, 2008 09:33:44 PM
so I guess the way the ads work on myspace they search for key words in your profile and try to sell you crap...well I log in the other day to find an ad for a new charles bukowski book out soon....it was the best day ever next to the day when my brother said "here read this" and handed me Ham On Rye.

I'm not a huge reader, but he's so crazy I love his books I can't help it even if he was a drunken buffoon...

anyhoozle, I've looked on ebay many times for tshirts only to find nothing I like....so I decided to make one in honor of the new book...I have seen "What Would Bukowski Do?" shirts many times but I finally found the answer....

I printed the pic out reversed and used an iron transfer marker and ironed it to a gray tank top then I painted over the marker in black and gray with fabric paint and a brush....it looks crazy because it's a scan, sorry Undecided

this is the original from a rare book he made of illustrated response letters to fan mail called "Dear Mr. Bukowski"....this one in particular was from a woman who asked "what is your typical day" and this was the first page of response. it just cracked me up I needed to use it...

94  my first screen!.! in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by TrickyMcVomit on: April 30, 2008 03:02:41 PM
I got a speedball super value kit for christmas a few years ago from my brother and I was so afraid to use it...I thought I would ruin it....I ended up using the box as a lap table when hand painting my tshirts...lol

well a very good friend of my boyfriend passed away over the weekend we are extremely crushed....they are having a benefit concert this week so I decided to try out the screen...Chris or Kriss as we called him was the biggest fan of music especially 80's metal (I'm rocking out to Hair Nation on Sirius satellite as we speak)..one of his all time favorite bands was KISS so I thought up this logo...

I know the last S is a little small but I am sure thats going to be the last thing on anyones mind.....it's printed on black strips to use as patches or arm bands, I'm going to have them given away at the door...I also splurged and got glow in the dark ink, not only will I use every drop of it, Kriss is definitely worth every penny..

he was absolutely the sweetest funniest dude I ever met...he was one of the first people I met when I moved to philly with my boyfriend and from that second on he was like a big brother I never needed (I already have 4!.!)...noogies and all...he was a friend of my bf for 18 years and he will be sorely missed...

they are taking over my living room, I think I have done at least 50 so far..I'm going to stop blabbing now and get back to it!.!

97  my very first poppet, welcome to my new addiction (pic hefty) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by TrickyMcVomit on: April 12, 2008 12:16:18 PM
meet Bumblee my very first poppet

she has purple eyeliner but even with my digi you can't tell because
it's a POS....her eyelashes sparkle as well

I made these jeans from a pair of brand new jeans I didn't have for a week
and the zipper ripped off of them =0(
the star in front of her hair is just a cute little button I found...
I also got lucky and found shoes for a teddy bear in the Dollar Tree where I used to work so I didn't have to make them!.!

her hair was yarn I bought to make hair falls with but felt that it
was too thin so it just laid around......I might end up making her
hair thicker than this....
and I already bought her her own tiny hair clips =0)

this outfit is based off of the Blind Melon Bumbleebee Girl (pic below
of my tattoo of her on my leg) I wish you could see the tulle tutu I
made but my comforter is too dark, my sheets are her skin color...so I
couldn't win...
o0o and her watch actually works!.!

my tattoo of the blind melon bee girl I designed so she is sitting
exactly like Shannon Hoon when they were on the cover of Rolling
Stone...I have a little sunshine and a whinnie the pooh bumblebee but
you can't see that part....I plan on giving her a matching bumblebee
tattoo =0D

and when I was finished making her she took her first trip to the bar
and got into our pitcher of lager...."what are you guys going to

well it isn't necessarily complete, but it's as finished as it's going to get...I started it years ago and moved from connecticut to Philly to be with my bf so it's still (hopefully) in my room somewhere...
charcoal erase drawing is my absolute favorite way of doing portraits it gives so much life and depth....

100  Rancid red fairy (lots of pictures!!) in CHALLENGE 26 ENTRIES by TrickyMcVomit on: April 02, 2008 02:47:26 PM
this is my first entry, I'm a little nervous...everyones stuff is so good....so here goes nothin.......

I was in the dollar store and I found this beautiful red fairy....she was wonderful...but I could make her better...

I wish I could have taken a better picture of her original hair it was in tight curly pigtails....that had to stop...

her makeup is from a pack of acrylics I also purchased there..

when I took her hair out of the pigtails...it was mostly bald...I cut her side hair and super glued on some long pile fur which i cut short so it looked shaved...the super glue burned some of it thats why there are white patches....lol...I straightened her hair with an old school metal curling iron that was my moms when she was a teenager...

I popped off her wings and painted them black and glow in the dark, I glued black ribbon strands to the bottom and super glued them back on (also dollar store)

her Rancid logo skirt is a scrap from a pair of Dickies, just because she wanted to keep it real... her tank top is the original dress I just painted the front black

getting into my Yuengling at the bar...you can just barely see the tops of her "boots" which is just black paint...just like her little black undies

doll, paint, ribbon and glue are dollar store

Dickies skirt and buzzed hair are from my own stash...she begged me, I couldn't help it...
