1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Sparkly Key Chains on: June 29, 2009 03:38:06 PM
I saw these somewhere on the net and had to make some....not so easy when you live over here in the UK! i used D rings and split rings.
They looked okay in fact I sold some at a craft fair!
And what did I do with the cash I made?(not loads i can say!)
Looked on ebay for some key fobs like the one in the picture.....YOU can only get them in the US!
So what did I do...I bought some! Used Paypal!
And I am waiting for them 2 come!

Here is my Canny Button Cuff...made from recycled soda pop cans, turn into buttons using my Big-Shot die cutting machine. I backed them with double sided tape and funky foam. When using my Big-Shot I found out that if you cut tins in the right way the edge is slightly bent over making them safe to use in many different ways!
I made holes in them with my hole punch (the kind you hit with a hammer) When I first made them I didn't like them because the holes were not level, but now I do! It gives them that Made @ Home Style!
They are on the link below...

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Recycled Rubbish Bags/crisp-packets in2 a bag for longlife? on: June 25, 2008 09:25:12 AM
Cheesy Here's my recycled carrier-bags n crisp packet tote bag! I ironed loads of layers of plastic carrier and crisp bags together with a iron inside grease-proof paper to make them extra thick!! I got loads 2gether 2 do this, I haven't ironed so much 4 years! (I usually put stuff in the dryer!!)
When my melty plastic sheeting was big enough I back them on2 some material (old curtains again!) using my sewing machine! I LOVE MY SEWING MACHINE!
I had 2 sides which I sewed 2gether and added some handles!
Wow! Wonderful! My own bag 4 life! Well at least it will last longer than any old carrier bag!n the crisp packets would just have gone in landfill!
Now I can't wait 2 fill it with goodies the next time I go shopping!!!

No a hair dryer is no good 4 this kinda thing!Reading thou the replies 4 people who don't have a heat gun they've tried a candle!
B4 I acquired a heat gun I used the flame on the gas cooker!but it was quite stinky! And the kids kept complaining!
Heat guns are much better priced now! Mine cost me well nothing! With all that melting, stinking and blobs of stuff all over the place (cooker mostly) the family thought it was time 2 by me 1 4 mothers day!
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Sequins from PET bottle - tutorial on: April 10, 2008 07:26:39 AM
I just get an idea in my head and go with it!Like the plastic bottle-beads!I try all kinds of stuff and if it don't work I have still learn' t something from it!I didn't work with THAT!!!!
But try it with something different!I have no time 4 brain training stuff or keeping my mind active at all do, all I do is mess! And if it's recyclable I feel so good!
1. I've save something from the bin/tip
2.I sometimes end up with a new thing
3.I feel so good!I could walk on air!
4. I have learn't to deal with failure (a small thing I have really but what do I care no-one or any animal was hurt while doing this stunt!!!)
5. I will be better next time!(If it includes fire/heat watch out 4 my eyebrows!!!)

I love paper-beads!I cover them with embossing powder! and I've even moved onto coating them in resin I have left over while messing with that stuff! But paper-beads are so cheep and cheerful and very underestimated!
I even tried recycling plastic bottles!
