1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: May 20, 2007 08:12:45 PM
I'm pretty sure that you only use the elastic thread on the bobbin, and use regular thread in the needle.

The shorts look great!  Isn't it fun to be able to make them clothes that they can just play in?  I love it.  Good luck on your next project! Smiley
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / corduroy pants to purse on: May 08, 2007 11:22:08 AM
Well, I forgot to take a picture of the pants before I cut legs off, but you can imagine just your regular flared leg cords.  Anyway, here are some shots of the purse I made....I absolutely love it.  I totally made up the pattern, so it has a couple small issues with lining up perfectly, but no one can tell unless they look really well.  There are buttons in the center of the flowers on the front, just for some added detail, but not on the back because I figured they would get caught on my pants as I walked, etc.  Anyway, it was a fun little project that came out pretty well, since I had no idea what I was going to do with it when I started.  Thanks for looking, hope you like it!!! Smiley

OK.  For some reason the pictures aren't appearing...which is weird because I have done this a bunch of times and never had this problem.  Anyway, here are the links to my photos instead.  Hope this works.  Sorry!

I like yours better than your hubby's, but they are both cool.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: my denial that spring ran away = summery dress! (photo heavy) on: April 16, 2007 06:37:46 AM
your dress is cute...definitely better with the bodice redo, that hook sure helped.  I think it turned out pretty well in the end.  Sizing issues are never fun to try to fix, but I think you did a great job...I'd wear it.
