1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Flute Rack on: May 21, 2018 08:26:09 PM
I needed a place to display some of my flutes.  I've been using an old pool cue rack, and decided that my flutes deserved better.  The brackets are fashioned after an old curling iron rack.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Carved Haircombs on: May 21, 2018 08:20:16 PM
I finally let my hair grow out again, and it's quite long so it's always into things.  I needed a way to keep it up out of the way when I'm working, so I made some haircombs for myself.

The wavy piece in the middle is because my hair is very fine and won't behave.  This works for me.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Folding camping tables on: May 18, 2018 08:27:23 PM
I made a bunch of folding tables for my camping friends.  There are three different sizes.  The first photo shows the tables all stacked up, finished. The second photo, they are all folded for transport.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Coiled ornament with carved stone on: May 18, 2018 08:19:50 PM
So, I've been taking classes to learn how to facet stones.  This is my latest attempt, onyx.

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Carved quilt squares on: May 15, 2018 01:54:56 PM
Each of these squares is carved, then painted.  Then I attached them to a piece of plywood for hanging.

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Flag made from pallet wood on: May 15, 2018 01:44:32 PM
Found a pallet with some nice wood, so I made a flag.  The stars are actual starfish.

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Hand carved walnut welsh love spoon on: May 14, 2018 11:42:33 PM
One of a kind.  I never duplicate.  This is a Welsh love spoon carved from a piece of walnut.  Nothing special, but it's my own design.

Hope you like it.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Caarved treble clef pendants on: May 14, 2018 10:40:16 PM
Just a few pendants that I carved for a few music friends

Thee are about two inches high, and have a date on the back from our first public performance
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Woodburned Cigar box on: December 13, 2015 11:27:00 PM
So, I've been working on Christmas gifts and this is probably the most ambitious project of the year for me.  I took an old wooden cigar box that had black paint on it, and partially sanded the top.  Then I burned this pattern on it, most of which is free-handed.  Finished it off with several coats of polyurethane.  This is a special gift for a very special friend.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Leather Wedding Tunic on: September 14, 2015 06:20:08 PM
A sneak preview.  My wedding tunic.  The light blue is goatskin and the brown is buffalo.  I used glass pony beads.

The top of the tunic is sewn and from the sleeves down it is tied in the traditional style of indian dress.  All of the fringe was cut by hand.
