What a beautiful example of a mug rug. I can't imagine life before mug rugs.

Loves it! And what a great shape/body to start with. The scene inside is magic.
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop on: December 14, 2015 08:24:40 PM
I created a little Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop from Hogsmeade (a Harry Potter thing if you're a muggle).

It measures 10" wide x 12" tall and about 6.5" deep including the cobblestone front. The brickwork was done with a stencil and drywall compound. The cobblestone is a stencil and gel medium.

It's a frilly pink mess... just as it should be.

Inside 'golden cherubs' float above the tables...

... scattering pink confetti on to the table (an into the tea cups) below.

If you spy inside the front door window you'll see some pastries and goodies.

If you're interested in the supplies I used, a list can be found HERE
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Wee House Craftalong-Ongoing 2011-Forever! on: October 23, 2015 06:07:25 AM
I generally start with lists. I'll write down things that may fit with my theme, possible accessories, ideas, and then maybe do a terrible sketch to plot where things will go. Whether what actually ends up being made looks anything like the sketch is a whole other matter Wink
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Wee House Craftalong-Ongoing 2011-Forever! on: October 12, 2015 11:16:33 AM
I threw out the idea of making a "Rosemary's Baby" nativity scene, and it was very well received, so I just may have to do it.

None of this "may have to" nonsense! You MUST do it. If you don't you'll make me whine. No one wants to hear me whine.  Wink

Love, love, love. As soon as I saw the thumb I knew it was yours. Do you know Kit Williams work... your work reminds me of him.
