Nice!  I like the pastel striped one and the flowers, though they're all beautiful.  I find it hard to find D-rings in the UK...

my sister (who lives in dublin) couldn't find any either....hmmm...strange!  she tried ordering some from a company in the states and they told they don't deliver to ireland cuz of "the ira" (they really said that..honest!)

Wow, you've been a busy girl!!! How much are you charging for them? And what's with the sign- did you also post the bags? I'd like to see them- if so.

thanks for the comments eveyone!  i was at a craft show (my first!)  and i charged $10 (canadian) for the belts.  i did take pix of the bags but i haven't posted those yet.  only one belt sold but it was mostly an "older" kinda craft show Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Ribbon Belts with mini tute on: April 22, 2005 11:21:31 AM
Hi everyone! these were just some belts i made for a craft show....

all you need is webbing (picked it up at walmart), cute 7/8" ribbon (michaels and walmart) and 2 1" d-rings (michaels). I went with 7/8" wide ribbon and webbing but you could make wider belts with the 1 1/2" ribbon and webbing.

just sew the ribbon directly onto the webbing.the webbing just helps to make a sturdier belt.

add 2 1" d-rings to one end, fold the belt over and sew so that you lock in the rings.

and voila! you have yourself a belt! (hope that makes sense)
5  EUROPE / ITALY / Re: Anyone in Italy?? Even Europe will probably help. on: January 12, 2005 07:55:01 AM
I go to italy every year, usually ceccano (outside frosinone) or partinico (outside parlermo) and i love the weekly outside markets they have!!  i buy tons of fabric, yarn and anything else i can grab my hands on.  i end up going from town to town, since each town has there own market day.  they're a great place to pick up craft items.

wow..i can't believe there are other people from windsor that use this!  i thought i was the only one!  for any knitters...there's a new knitting store that opened up on ottawa street (think it's called knit one, purl one) it's got some really great yarns (although the lady looked at me kinda funny when i asked if she had any phildar or rebecca magazines) oh well!  i'm sure windsor will catch up to the rest of the world sooner or later
