2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help with Heel on Sock Pattern on: October 30, 2011 07:57:12 PM
I'm trying to crochet this pattern: http://www.crazycoley.net/2009/07/july-sock.html and I'm having trouble with the heel part of the pattern.

Ch 1, turn, work across the 10 sc, and, working into the side of this st, and into the next sc below, make a sc2tog. Work a ss into the next side edge below. 11 sc. Turn.

Skipping the ss, sc in the 11 sc, and work a sc2tog into the side edge of the 11th sc and the one below, then work a ss into the side edge below that. 12 sc. Turn.

When it says do the sc2tog, you're sc the 10th sc you did on that row, then the side of the sc crochet of the row below on the same side, right? I think I got that part.

For the ss, do you do it on the same side edge, or the opposite side edge?

I hope that makes some sort of sense.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Tunisian Graphghan on: December 11, 2010 08:13:02 PM
I have a friend that wants me to make him a graph of the angry sun from Super Mario Brothers. I had made a graphghan out of granny squares but this time I want to try Tunisian. My question is, to make a huge blanket in Tunisian, do you just make large Tunisian blocks then sew them together? I could buy one of those Tunisian hook with the string attached at the end, but that just seems like it would get messy fast.

For stitch planning, could you just do 10 Tunisian stitches for one pixel of the picture?
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My first filet crochet! on: December 11, 2010 06:49:44 PM

Loved this project! Can't wait to do more filet crochet!

Edit: I got the pattern from this website: http://www.nezumiworld.com/crochet_012.htm. She has a lot of wonderful crochet charts up for free.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Convert this from knitting to crochet? on: October 29, 2010 12:46:16 PM

I'm terrible at knitting but I like this pattern a lot. I've never converted patterns from knitting to crochet but I've heard of other people doing it. Any tips on how I'd convert this one?
