1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I Knit! The Body Cybernetic.... on: August 13, 2009 04:37:07 PM
Thank You for all your kind comments. The project is hand knit.
I do know that if the gallery that is currently considering her falls through I may have other options.
As far as a statement, It is my personal philosophy to allow the work to speak for itself. My personal reasons/ideas for this project are incredibly personal.
perhaps if I was in a bar on one of those 2 AM drunk nights, I would spill the beans....But alas..it is not so
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I Knit! The Body Cybernetic.... on: August 11, 2009 05:10:40 PM
Well not really cybernetic...but I thought a punny reference to servotron would catch at least someone's attention...anyway...This project took two years to complete. The only part that I used a pattern for were the intestines, the pattern for which I found on this site. Everything else was knit patternless. I am currently waiting to find out if a gallery in L.I.C will accept her as part of an exhibit.
Tongue firmly in cheek, for now I will refer to her as Fraulein Hobartenstein...
Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.
Love & Liberation,
Hobart
P.S all yarn is animal fiber-free!
