11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Help with a sewing machine? on: December 15, 2007 04:56:17 PM
So, I recently came into the possession of my Great-Grandmother's old sewing machine (she was a seamstress, and my Grandmother hoarded her sewing machine but finally gave it to me!)  It's a Kenmore 1764180 (and runs a million times better than my Viking, I think! o-o )  However, I'm having a problem threading the bobbin!
Its bobbin looks like this

(I took the image off eBay, hope that's okayy.)
I've never threaded a bobbin like that, so I'm not sure what to do.  I've also got a very old Singer 185J (the kind that's made completely out of metal and weighs probably 50+ pounds.  Took me and one of my friends holding it to get it anywhere!) that has that kind of bobbin, and it came with it's instruction manual, but that made no sense to me on how to thread them. Sad

So, if anyone has any easy to understand instructions on how to thread it, it'd mean so much to me!
Thank you! Cheesy
12  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / My first try! :D Chai the dragon! on: September 10, 2007 02:13:11 PM

I'm quite pleased with the results.
I think I did good, for it being my first time.

It was a lot of fun, but I'm all out of white, red, and black Sculpey.

Grand total of time, one hour! Cheesy
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dyeing Jeans on: August 26, 2007 01:24:55 PM
Soo, I've got an absolutely hideous pair of jean capris, and I want to dye them so that they're black.
They're 100% cotton.
Soo, would it be possible?  The last time I dyed something it..  it well didn't turn out good at all. o-o;;
If it is possible, what dye should I use and how many times should I dye them?

Thanks in advance for the help!

So, yeah, I've never posted any of my work in this section, so, there's going to be a lot here...
I'd also like to apologize that some of 'em are crappy shots.
Most're taken with my camera phone...

[A lot of inspiration for that bag from a tute here on Craftster^  I can't remember which one right now, though..]

Told ya there was a lot!

16  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / What IS this? [more pictures] on: July 17, 2007 12:12:46 PM
So, I've got a vegetable garden in my yard, and it's been producing eggplant/cucumbers/peppers/tomatoes/lettuce and this one other plant!
I've got NO idea what it is.
I picked a piece off for a picture- does anyone know what it is?

The little pods have like, seeds in them.  But I don't remember getting any kind of peas. :|
It's like, very long and viney.  There's a lot, too.  Because of it's weight, it keeps falling over on some of my eggplant. Cry

What is it, and what do I do to keep it from hurting my eggplant?

More pictures:

And then it attacking my eggplant. D:
17  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Meet Salem! on: June 10, 2007 10:00:36 AM

He's a vampire.
And yes.
I said he.
With his pink hair, and pretty dress, a lot of people have mistaken him for a girl.

He's very cuddely.
Took forever to make. x_x
 But he's awesome, so!

Sorry 'bout the bad quality, cell phone shot.
