21  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: ** Fun and Funky Primary Colored Baby Quilt** on: September 02, 2007 09:59:00 AM
Thanks to your friends' eschewing ultrasound, you have created a really cool and unique quilt that bucks gender and baby stereotypes (if you'll pardon my pun). that's really awesome.

What is it with dogs? You can look like you and sound like you and smell like you, but a pair of funky gloves will make them decide it isn't you. I've heard a lot of dogs hate halloween costumes.

That is way awesome. What a ton of fun, and now, a really nice memory of time spent together.

Grandmas rock. I had a quilt that mine made me when I was 8. Just a wholecloth, tied lavender callico, but so pretty... by the time I finished college, I'd worn it to shreds. I salvaged the lace and some of the fabric and incorporated it into a patchwork I'm making now, so that it will live on.

The shredded part I folded up and tied, and gave to my parents' dog as a cuddly bed. Yes, Grandma's OK with this. She loves animals.

ROTFL! Love! doubt husband would let me make him an apron. I'm lucky I got to make him a scarf. Also would love huz to make pancakes, but I guess I need to work on perfecting those superpower accessories.

thanks everybody... stretching, hmm... I was worried about shrinkage too...
I might try light fabric appliques over khaki instead, or maybe use the khakis as a back for something.
