51  It Happens (Tetris fun and slight language) in Needlework: Completed Projects by whateverjames on: July 23, 2008 10:59:43 AM
We all know it. We all play it. We all love it...and those of us who horde all our pieces to one side of the screen waiting for a straight piece to "lay down the tetris law" have sadly done this  Sad

I tried some different back stitching to outline the individual pieces but I am horrible at back stitching. I know thats like saying I am horrible at breathing oxygen but I never seem to get it to look as well done as so many pieces I have seen.

Sorry its a little blurry. I took it with my phone since I finished it at work. Nothing like working in a call center that doesnt get calls and being overpaid to stitch all day  Cheesy

52  Love, Your Geek in Needlework: Completed Projects by whateverjames on: July 02, 2008 07:14:25 AM
I did this for my girlfriend (who by the by has asked me to teach her to cross stitch!!!). She kind of gets the color codes since they are color coded. I tried to explain the "all your base" reference but that went about like this   Roll Eyes

She doesn't understand what it says but she does understand what it means which is good enough for both of us!

53  Bender (Futurama's Back)!!! in Needlework: Completed Projects by whateverjames on: February 16, 2008 05:58:25 AM
So this one took a little while. I started it just before the return of my favorite animated show, Futurama! The second pic with the phone and quarter are just for scale. I'm looking forward to a couple small projects and then I am doing a portrait of Emporer Fry the Solid from the My Three Suns episode  Cheesy  Thanks for checking it out!

54  My Relay For Life in Needlework: Completed Projects by whateverjames on: September 07, 2007 09:43:01 AM

I've been involved with my local American Cancer Society Relay For Life and one of the fundraisers we have at the event is a raffle so I decided to make something this year. I really wanted to do more ribbons but the event is less then a month away and I have two other raffles next month too   Undecided But it will be something to look forward to doing next year.

Still needs a bit of ironing and photography is obviously not my forte but here we go  Cheesy

55  Re: Nintendo/Videogame stitchalong? in Needlework: Stitchalongs by whateverjames on: July 27, 2007 10:45:03 AM
So I did this about six months ago

I love the video game inspired stuff I see on these boards and cant wait to see yours completed!!! I would probably be broke if darklilac charged for using that wonderful, wonderful chart program  Tongue

I have a nintendo controller chart around somewhere I will try to post for anyone who wants it.  I have wanted to do something with it but I have sizable Star Wars and Futurama projects going and dont know when I will make it back to another game one!

56  Cross Stitch Three Words Others Would Use to Describe You... in Needlework: Completed Projects by whateverjames on: March 30, 2007 02:33:12 PM
So we have all seen the email surveys that we get over and over and I do my best to make my answers fun just because I hate reading the same answers from the same people all the time.

A lot have the question "what are three words that your friends would use to describe you".  These were the first ones I typed and I loved it made me laugh and smile so much I thought it would be a fun "quick" project.  I'll probably decorate the frame to look like a "Hi, My Name Is" sticker.  Anyway nothing fancy here just one I REALLY had fun with and will be framed for my doorway!!!

57  First Self-Designed Cross-Stitch *Pic Re-Up* in Needlework: Completed Projects by whateverjames on: March 02, 2007 08:17:39 PM
I've been lurking on the board for a while and have finally decided to join!!!

So I have been stitching for about two years and this is my first attempt to design my own thing.

I'm not trying to be offensive, I like to look at it from the ghost's point of view  Cheesy  Hopefully you get a laugh.
