2  Building Block Elf Ornaments in Winter Holidays by hollywood311 on: December 12, 2014 09:32:32 PM
I made these ornaments for each member of my family based on an ornaments my mom made when I was little. I chose blocks that had the letter from our names. I love them so much. I hope you do to. They were super easy to make. I hope you enjoy them.
This was the one my mom made for me.

These are the ones I made for my family.
(I'm totally admitting that one is for my husband and then the other two are for our cats  Grin)

Here is a closeup of my husbands.

Happy Handmade Holidays!

(If you would like to see how I made these little guys or would like to make your own you can go here for more photos.

5  Hanukkah Star of David printables. in Winter Holidays by hollywood311 on: November 05, 2013 03:37:37 PM
Hey all!
So we have the holidays creeping up to our door. I wanted to share some Star of David ornaments I made one of my friends for her Thanksgiving/ Hanukkah. She is going to use them to hang around the house, as well as making a garland with them.
I made some with Thanksgiving colors, with traditional colors, as well as some just for coloring.

(If you want them for your own celebration, I am happy to share. http://hollylynnclark.blogspot.com/2013/10/star-of-david-ornaments-for-chanukah.html)
Happy Thanksgiving & Hanukkah!!! <3 Holly

6  Halloween Craft: Faux Chalkboard "Broom Parking" Sign in Halloween Decor and Parties by hollywood311 on: October 22, 2013 07:15:49 AM
Hey all, just wanted to share my super fun little sign I made for Halloween to hang up on the porch. I was searching around the internet for Halloween decoration ideas, and I kept seeing different versions of "Broom Parking" signs. So I decided to make my own. I created my own little graphic, because I wasn't really seeing any I like. So here is what I came up with.

(I am also glam-ing up the broom you see in the photo by painting the handle and adding a bow. Don't have pictures yet.)

A little closer up.

I hope you like it. I thought it was super fun. One of those projects that come out WAY better than what was in your head! (Instead of the other way around.!! HEHE)
If you would like to use the graphic for yourself, I am more than happy to share.
Here is the link to the download.

Well I hope everyone is having so much fun getting ready for Halloween.
Have a happy and safe Halloween my friends!!!
<3 Holly

8  New life to old plastic flower pots! in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by hollywood311 on: July 27, 2013 05:17:44 PM
Every year I amass even more plastic flower pots after buying new plants. They always looked so sad and boring sitting in a stack in the corner of my porch. This year I decided to breath some new life into them by painting them with some nice acrylic paints. (I also primed and sealed them... here was the simple process... http://hollylynnclark.blogspot.com/2013/07/quick-summer-recycling-craft.html) This was my result.... (I also had so many that I decided to use them as organizational containers in my art studio for markers and such.) <3 Holly

9  Playing around with Photo Transfers in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by hollywood311 on: March 08, 2013 07:13:34 PM
So I have wanted to do photo transfers forever. However I never know what gel medium to get when I go to the store. So the other night I though I would play around with using Mod Podge. (Mainly because that's what I had in the house.) Here is what I came up with.
On a wood block.

On Craft Paper

On a canvas. (Not my favorite but I was just playing. I am definitely going to use it on future paintings.)

On a little wooden box.

(Here is how I did it: http://hollylynnclark.blogspot.com/2013/03/photo-transfers-with-modge-podge.html)
I'm still searching for things to cover... I have created a monster. hehe
